Do you use poser or daz3d ?

Started in poser when you could buy it at the store, in a box, on cd. went back and forth for a while, but ended up in Daz. Love it. I haven't been in poser for years. Plus I don't have to pirate Daz studio 🙂

Thanks for all your answers guys. Im pretty used to Daz now seems pretty good. The results im getting on my new gaming laptop are amazing compared to my old 10 year desktop 🙂

3d Delight? is that a render engine? does it import daz scenes to render?

3Delight is the default render engine that comes with DazStudio.

I used Poser before there was DAZ Studio, but switched with DS’s first release. To be honest, it wasn’t really a switch because I had lost interest in Poser and was mostly using 3DS Max with V-ray. I do think that V-Ray is superior to Iray, but I haven’t bothered to find a hack for V-Ray and Iray is good enough.

Lighting in Poser was always my bane. Poser users, does the software still use the pin cushion?

I've used Poser now for well over ten years... and I'm counting back to when I had machines that could barely even run it; when just rotating a wire-frame arm, or importing a primitive object would take me five minutes.

I've tried Daz Studio here and there, but I'm just a happy old dog with Poser at this point.

I used Poser for many years because Daz sucked. But I was gone for 10 years until last year and now Daz is the way to go for me.

poser needs to accommodate genesis figures to keep its user base i think. Ive purely switched over because of genesis figures and the iray upgrade.
