The layered image editor is faster than I've ever seen 🙂

4.12 still the most stable and fast version right?

Anybody else getting this glowing hair issue?

    From the Daz Forum:

"This 4.15 is a total disaster as far as I'm concerned. Every scene I have saved for use, everything I'm loading in and especially hair is now a complete mess. All my renders are coming out almost obliterated with fireflys. Never once have I had a problem with fireflys before but now everything I'm trying to do is covered with them. Hair is coming out an absolute mess. And on top of this my render times have jumped up by a huge margine to, an average test render, say one figure with clothes and hair used to take around 3 to 4 minutes, it's now anywhere from 7 to 10.

I have no doubt the answer to this question is going to be 'no', but is there anyway I can get back to 4.14 please?

I was having the same problem but then I figured out I could fix it by disabling the backlight from hair.

You can do this manually by setting translucency weight to 0"

no issues here for me, everything works as normal (so far).

the only thing i've experienced is a crash when i tried to use the FACS system by moving one of those arrows on it, and if i'm not mistaking, it should work by moving those arrows and creating the expressions, but instead i'm stuck using the sliders it has.

    i simply installed 4.15 over 4.14 (upgrading).

Thanks Mello. That's good to know. I wonder why the fireflies is a selective issue.

Would like to give some insight on the FACS system but I don't have experience with it.

I updated Daz using DIM, version 4.15.02

I don't have any issues with it , any character loads in 40 seconds or less it don't matter if they are from a saved scene with clothing and hair every thing is normal I just moved to 4.15 the other day and no issues with renders as well.

My temporary partial fix is: I installed and use Daz PA version (4.14) and am keeping 4.15.02 installed too until there's an update with a fix. The PA version was posted by another member here before:

"This is 4.14 so I was told the build for the PA’s

    https://mega.nz/file/QA9FQSYA#NDIgY0Z5VzAT_abbEH8GaIsGo1nSVal9v4a85px-5Ao

all you have to do is drop the daz studio folder on a drive and make a short cut to the desktop. If you have daz installed this will get your serial from or use the one supplied."

It solves the fireflies with the hair.

It looks like it can use G8.1, but not Victoria 8.1 materials.
I have a custom character with V8.1 as the base figure using a G8.0 skin. It looks like it should. The 8.1 poses and expressions work fine too.

    Rendered in 4.14 PA
G8.1 on the Left and V8.1 on the right

@cage, What do you mean by DAZ 4.14 PA version?
Does this version have "morph subdivision" feature in morph loader pro by default?

@ehrez, It's my own reference. My understanding is it's a version for Daz Published Artists.

I compared the morph loader interfaces between it and the current 4.15.02 public release and the menu items appear the same. No indication of morph subdivision.

It was originally shared here by @doodlebug:
Maybe he can tell us more.
