One of my favorite things was using weight maps and fans to make it look like someone was like laying down a sheet or towel and it was billowing from the air resistance but still falling. the weight map tool is so freaking important in adapting old clothes and such as well.
I also tried my hand at using cloth with a transparency to make it seem like goo was falling over someones head, I have to still think that one through (it's a 2d plane and looked it) but you can get really creative as the link I shared above shows.
@Juroh thanks. ive been to there a few times. Was mostly looking for something one of you may have stumbled on.
