First of all this is thanks to many suggestions and inspirations from:
@enjoyify @frank22 @makemodus @littlepleasures and other artists that have been churning them out in the art gallery such as faver, spats, luca (of course), and others! So I finally decided to see if all these suggestions would help improve my render. NGL.. I am pleasantly surprised with the results. This is my first full render with 3pointx lighting, vignette, and hdri backdrop. Thank you for the suggestions and inspirations. This render really does pop.. for not being a sci-fi 5000 emission lighting extravaganza.
LAST RENDER but maybe I was too harsh on Daz Studio before. I really wanted to show the community that even though I wasn't always following your examples, I was learning. This is, in one word, a metamorphosis of your teachings.
This was a alpha build where I was going to focus on the crabs:

This is the final build with some slight tweaks to character and focus:

Thanks for looking, have a HAPPY NEW YEARS! Most of all:

January 2, 2023 at 9:11 PM #1908992Love this. The saturated colors and soft lighting work well with a nude. The hair is especially great.
Was it difficult to fit the hat over the hair? I shy away from hats because they're always so much effort.
My one criticism would be to reduce the DOF a bit so we get a clearer look at what those crabs are up to!

mon impression est que la différence entre la lumière dans l'ombre n'est pas assez contrastée avec celle du plein soleil 😉Bonne et heureuse nouvelle année à tous et toutes
Sorry for the french words, i guess that goo... translator will be ok and efficient.

Not with this: https://zonegfx.com/sy-hat-and-hair-helper-genesis-8/
But this is only 42% Iray convergence. I made it up to 68% after 30 hours but I won't be posting that. It really shows all the blemishes I didn't fix. Hair clipping in left shoulder/arm causing the bump/normal maps to flare up. Lots of clipping in the hat and basically not much more definition then shown here.

Agree with @enjoyify regarding the crabs.
Thas was kinda the point.. BUT if you really need that in your life, you could take both pics and overlap them in photoshop and erase the DOF on the crabs in the second pic. LMAO I was going to just render the first image but then the folks on my DA would be MAD.
isn’t she a little pale for a beach scene?
Hmm.. you think so? Maybe her breasts are really pale, but this is the first time she's exposed them for some rays. If you notice her bottom though, she has no tanlines. Either she goes everywhere commando style or the artist is just too lazy to add a geometry shell. You decide. 🙂

The shot is supposed to be taken during winter. That is why the sky is kinda a cool blue color. Yes, I agree the amount of light illuminating through the skin is exaggerated.
I will also agree that the shadows are off from where the light source is supposed to be coming from. I never used HDRI backdrops before and I couldn't change the sun position and also keep the character where I wanted her in the scene.
I tried to overpower it with other lights, and you can kinda see where the shadow from the umbrella pole shows on the basket behind it.
BUT for some reason, the light from the HDRI 'sun' still created shadows on everything in the scene.
Thank you everyone for your critiques and kind words.
