Maybe you have some gunked up preferences...
Try the preferences/general/DSON cache file...and clear it.
September 13, 2020 at 11:54 AM #1627510Tried it.
September 13, 2020 at 11:55 AM #1627511I am going to try a reinstall of DAZ and see what that does.
September 13, 2020 at 12:23 PM #1627515nope, showing nothing new. everything is cleared according to this but something is messing it up. I'll just do the reinstall.
September 13, 2020 at 12:31 PM #1627518Part of the problem may lie in the fact that saving as a Character without changing the name may result in the overwriting of the base G8F.
A lot of commercial character presets do not rename, which can add to the issue.Whenever I save as Character I ensure I have changed the name & also locked the scale parameter, as some poses can alter the height back to stock if you don't.
As an aside, another thing I have noticed, is that a typical commercial character load duf is somewhere in the region of 1.2 Mb. When I do my custom character saves they are typically just under 100Kb.
September 13, 2020 at 12:45 PM #1627519I had that issue when I first started using DAZ. took me some time to learn what I was doing. I have a new pc now and this is something that I am just now encountering.
September 13, 2020 at 2:08 PM #1627523Full delete and reinstall and still having the same issues. Guess I'm just going to give it a break for a bit and come back to it later.

If you have not deleted your Daz Connect Data, delete it and REDOWNLOAD it. That is were the G8F base is located and start again from scratch.
September 13, 2020 at 5:05 PM #1627535No, DTHDR-RuinsB-500.hdr is the default HDRI image that lights the iray scenes by default, regardless of Daz Connect.
October 4, 2020 at 4:19 PM #1633050UPDATE:
Fixed issue!
After all the advice here (I followed to the T), I just couldn't get it right.
There is no need to go through the trouble I went through. *Do not* reinstall any of the Daz core or any of that it makes no difference till you fix the default values. Also as suggested above remove the big girl morphs, or you can go through the process of fixing the zero attributes.
The main issue with the pelvic/genital distortions is in the leg morphs under the parameter tab (maybe hidden) under the currently used section.
Click the little gear icon and put the default to 0 and I also put the value at 0 as well.
For me, this corrected all the distortion issues I had for the gen area.
Hope everyone understood my poor instructions lol! I'm not good at written instructions. -
