Hello,
I have been having problems with my G8F. When I open up the base figure she starts out with "Bunny". One of my characters I have somehow baked into the base figure, that I can fix by using the slider to remove her, just have to do this every time though.
But on every character I create I run a "dazFileInspector" and get the following lines that I know does not belong:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Female/Morphs/DeviousDolls/Daphne/CTRLDaphne.dsf
and
/resources/DTHDR-RuinsB-500.hdrI can't figure out where or how to find these 2 items to fix them. Does anyone have any idea or suggestion?
Things I have done:
Delete and reinstall the figures in question, deleted DAZ completely, and deleted all cache files for DAZ.September 10, 2020 at 9:49 PM #1625994I did a front and back render of my G8 base figure and this is what I get every time I add a pose to any of my figures

The only thing that worked was to uninstall Zilpha.September 10, 2020 at 10:07 PM #1625998I deleted the Daphne character and it still shows up in my base figure.
I have reinstalled the G8F base several times and still get the same result. I don't know what else to do. May just resort back to the G3 if I can't figure this out.September 10, 2020 at 11:03 PM #1626006Thank you, I'll go take a look.
September 10, 2020 at 11:43 PM #1626024Kool, I'll check this
September 11, 2020 at 12:11 AM #1626027Thank you guys I was able to fix the morph problems but my Base figure still has distortions. If you saw the pics I posted you might know what the problem is.
September 11, 2020 at 1:31 AM #1626035How did you fix your morph problems?
September 11, 2020 at 2:17 AM #1626041Check your parameter, check what character start at 100%, then follow this step if you still want to use the character morph or else better uninstalling it
I have written a fix in this forum last year for faulty character. e.g Demona
[A fix for Demona if you still want to use her, if not, it’s better to never install her]
1. Open your /data/Daz 3D/Genesis 8/Females/Morphs/TMLI/Demona, you will see FHM Demona in the folder, open FHM Demona with note editor of your choice (e.g Notepad++),you will find something like this:
“channel” : {
“id” : “value”,
“type” : “float”,
“name” : “Value”,
“label” : “Demona Head”,
“auto_follow” : true,
“value” : 1,2. you see that value is set to 1, change “value” to 0 and save to resolve this problem. Now Demona head morph will correctly start at 0.0%.
3. Do the same with her FBM files
Should be more or less the same workaround (look for value, set it to 0) for most not encrypted faulty character that set morph to 100%. If it is encrypted faulty character, e.g Alistair, the best way to fix is still uninstalling everything related to it
September 11, 2020 at 10:20 AM #1626138I followed the link posted by Legolas18. Just had to follow it completely.
September 11, 2020 at 2:10 PM #1626191Finally figured it out! when you click on the parameters tab also click on "currently used" and it should show everything. I had 5 items messy me up to include the Rory Character and I didn't have to delete her!
*Update*
Never mind I didn't get it fixed but I was able to fix a lot I still have the Gen area distorted. I'm still working on finding the issue here.September 11, 2020 at 5:36 PM #1626221Yeah I has a similar problem with ANY G8fem model I loaded up as they became corrupted with Zilpha HD for Jenni 8 morphs.
The only thing that worked was to uninstall Zilpha.1.Go to DATA of this content
2.find:\Content\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\Vex3DS\Zilpha
3.Open "Zilpha"
4.Find this:CTRLVex3DSZilpha and open with Notepad
5.change on this script:
https://prnt.sc/ufpdqr
value from "1" to "0" like here:
https://prnt.sc/ufpeik
Start G8FSeptember 12, 2020 at 3:55 AM #1626292The easy way
Start Daz.
Load the Genesis 8 Base Figure.
Go to your Parameters Tab (may want to check the Shaping Tab later as well) and select "Currently Used". This should display the offending morphs.
For those unwanted morphs click the "Gear Cog" on the upper right of the "Morph Dial" and select "Parameter Settings"
In the lower half of the next menu box theres a "Default" setting. Change it to " 0 " (zero) and click "Accept".
To save this, you'll need to go to the Menu, File, Save As, Support Asset, "Save Modified Assets"
You should get a message box saying G8F and those morphs will be permently modified, Click "Accept".
Next time you load G8F it should be all good zero'd out.
September 12, 2020 at 6:02 PM #1626405This sux! no matter what I do I can't find the reason why the genitalia area is distorted like it is.
It doesn't matter what I do every pose where the character is kneeling or even bent at the waist just a little gives me the distortion.September 12, 2020 at 6:03 PM #1626406Everything that has been posted I have now tried and still nothing works for this.
