This is a render that I've been working on and off now for about a week. Time ran out..
It's Halloween and I really want to just be done with it now. There is clipping, floating objects, horrible lighting, wrong textures, low res textures, and so much more. There are.. I believe, 22 different "horror props" inside this render. Can you find them and name the movie they came from? (WELP AT THIS RESOLUTION YOU MIGHT NOT)
This is the hardest render I've ever done. ๐ (I know I say that all the time) The process saw 3 major crashes, which lost me assets I was working on, along with trying to find several models which don't seem to exist anywhere, so I kitbashed a lot of the furniture you see in the room. About 3/4th of the horror props you see where found on the net. The other 1/4 I created (I'm sure you can tell which ones) LOL..
I will probably still work till I am happy with this render but I want to share this with you all on Halloween.
You'll most like have to download the file to view it in full size and see all the detail:

Take care and Happy Halloween!
November 1, 2022 at 6:28 AM #1884645Cool idea! I'm not a big horror movie fan, but I immediately see Jason/Ft13th, The Ring, Misery, The TCM, Chucky, The Thing, Christine... You've packed a lot in there! I'll let others find the rest. ๐
I appreciate you posting even when the render isn't perfect enough for you. That's always a hard call. I always see mistakes after I post something. Sometimes it's best to simply call it "good enough" and move on to the next project!
November 1, 2022 at 6:54 AM #1884653I'm the wrong person to find horror films, I seldom ever watch them. I'll let others find the goodies, and when it's done, can someone please tell me what the plant is in the jar? Keeps drawing my eye, keeps making me wonder! Hah!
November 1, 2022 at 12:05 PM #1884726not a big fan of terror movies, but many 80's references I cannot pass ๐
Silence of the lambs (Hannibal lecter mask)
the ring (tv image)
the exorcist (pazuzu sculpture)
Christine (toy car)
Child's play (chucky's doll box)
Friday 13th (hockey mask)
Evil dead (necronomicon book)
the most obvious: texas chainsaw massacre (movie poster)
Hellraiser (puzzle box)
the thing (movie poster)
Fright night (movie poster)
Blair Witch project (totems)
The Shining (so obvious it take a long time to find it ๐ )
The jiraffe could be an unintended reference to 'The Last of Us' videogame
Candyman? (looks like a hook)
Jaws?
IT (paper ship)
Mysery (book)
An the left there are two items that I'm sure are related, but can't identify.
can't find the rest ๐Great render
and funny game too.
thanksNovember 2, 2022 at 1:24 AM #1884912Iโm not a big horror movie fan, but..
proceeds to name off several of the props I figured people would have problems finding

Yeah, I was a little upset because I really wanted to get the room just right. (you know, for reasons) I will continue to work on it but I have a very busy schedule over the next few weeks.
Anyway, thanks for commenting and taking part in my hidden object puzzle picture. I have a feeling you knew a lot more but held back for others to try.
can someone please tell me what the plant is in the jar
? I'm not sure ? You mean on the ground near the chair? That is mini-bruce. ๐
Amazing. I'm especially surprised you got the pazuzu statue one.
The jiraffe could be an unintended reference to โThe Last of Usโ videogame
No. I only did movies. Though The Last of Us is one of my favorite games. Except for that one, though, you got all the others right.
An the left there are two items that Iโm sure are related, but canโt identify.
canโt find the restIf you mean the left nightstand, you are right. One is more a family movie but still considered horror. The other one has a hint sitting on top of the prop. No, not the octopus.
November 2, 2022 at 3:21 AM #1884928What's the blue phone reference? Scream?
November 2, 2022 at 3:41 AM #1884932Mini - Bruce?

The bottom is from The Fly, isn't it? finally i remembered that.
The other one... no idea
"Baby" in the craddle... Splice??November 2, 2022 at 10:25 AM #1885012The phone is part of the entire scene. The entire scene is a horror movie but I understand why people aren't getting it. The furniture is slightly wrong. I am going to work on it though.
Bruce was the name they gave JAWS from the movie. I only know this because of the 'Finding Nemo' commentary track.
I'll give you a clue.. it transports a Mogwai, named Gizmo.
CLUES FOR THE REST:
Look at the bed head frame very close.
Look at the bedroom as a whole.
Look at the baby in the drawer. (I had to make this one so.. it might be hard to decipher.) Another clue is: it's a Horror movie by David Lynch.
ALL FRAMED PICTURES ARE MOVIE references.I think that's it?
November 2, 2022 at 11:13 AM #1885023Well I couldn't see it that well, but it looked like a plant. It's a shark? I'll look closer. LOL.... It was spookier when I thought it was some kind of man eating alien plant!
I guess I'm more aware of the horror films than I thought. I recognize all the films that were mentioned, whether I actually watched them or not. I did watch Mini Bruce though! (And Nemo. :P)
I think this is an excellent render regardless of what you have to say about it. So there.
November 2, 2022 at 11:26 AM #1885025lol... gizmo from the gremlins!!! didn't remember the box ๐
In the head frame (left side) very very very tiny... Freddy Krueger blades??And david lynch's must be eraserhead (without the clue would have never guessed it)
The only one that can't get is the picture of a house... Amityville??

Speaking of... Feed me Seymour.
Thank you for the kind words but I utterly hate it. If I spend a week of my spare time on something, I expect to get it right. I WILL THOUGH!!!! LOL. I'm going to get the room right but add other horror movie references so stay tuned. ๐
You got the pazuzu statue (shrunken / statuette) but not the mogwai box?
In the head frame (left side) very very very tinyโฆ Freddy Krueger blades??
First one you got wrong.. I'll give you a clue. THE TALL MAN.. don't know if it's 80s or 70s.
I'm guessing you never saw the movie though.
Amity and Erasehead are right. I suck at making human figures from scratch though....
Sorry.
Take care!

YES!
The doll in chair Anabelle mabe ?
how about the tooth brush could be the tooth fairy:)No, and no. If they aren't at least props/recognizable posters/images within the horror movie in question, I didn't use them.. EXCEPT the JAWS one. I really wanted a JAWS reference.. forgive me.
Good job though.
STILL CAN'T BELIEVE NO ONE IDENTIFIED THE ROOM!!!!
Well someone kinda did but for the wrong reason. ๐November 3, 2022 at 11:13 AM #1885491the room itself... no.
