I've been pretty open about my feelings on this site's point system... I think it's silly since morally we're all stealing to begin with, and should I buy anything that's not already up here I'm happy to share it regardless (if it's something easy to share).
The site would really need to be updated to get the points system working right, obviously other sites are just scraping the data from blog posts so it'd be a big security thing.
One thing i'd actually like to see is encouragement to update files and upload them; e.g. taking old environments, giving them proper iRay textures and lighting and repacking them. THAT would be a valuable community service, and worth a points/ratio system IMO.

You're whining like you own DYYS. EVEN DYYS understands imitation is the greatest form of flattery. You as well should be flattered that @gicor had the gumption to make an attempt to bundle 12 of the 24 DYYS models. Heck, three are free already. When you think about it, you can probably offer DYYS $100 and get their other products. If and when I finally complete my first (scratch that; my icon is my first non-pretzel) when I successfully complete my (second)) render, I plan on visiting the DYYS store and buying the ones that aren't floating freely on the internet. You have to admit, ZoneGFX has the best structure with the least deadlinks and incomplete models. On top of that, the moderators are quick to answer your concerns. I unintentionally requested this bundle and within a week it was here. Did I offer points? no. Did I transfer points out of gratitude? ABSOLUTELY. Like I did when I saw you posted his DYYS cloud.mail.ru folder link.
I'm certain I've downloaded at least one of your postings. and I thank you. If you're not too busy, go hunt down the other 10 models not yet (free) on the internet and make your own bundle. Will I download it from you? yes. Will I transfer points of gratitude? Absolutely. This site is too good to have frivolous bickering.I had all but one from the bundle, was worth the 50 points just to download one item. I dont upload bundles of items that are already here as some one has already taken the time and trouble to upload that item, using their internet etc to do it and I would then be taking points that should be theirs. Some pirates do have honour. As you are getting some thing than others have paid for, you should just be grateful. If you want to bundle something that I have posted and then take my points for what I uploaded, please don't. My points are how I get things here and donate to contests etc. Earn your own points by finding something not here and posting it. If you get something from me and I tell you that you can post it, then that it yours to post how ever you choose here.

Would I steal an apple from a starving child or would I steal an dozen apples from Walmart and give it to a starving family. Or buy the apples myself and share them?

Back when KAT was around seeding was the nice thing to do. It was free and everyone did it without any reward. At least none I know of. I guess I expected that if a site had a certain gimmick and it is a fun gimmick then it should work. If points are worthless then why offer them for new items you want? Just suk it up and buy the damn thing then share it. Thats what I did.
To expect a little gratitude and a mild bit of fellow sharing respect is not to much to ask. And if it is then Ive no idea why people post here or anywhere.
i dont mind the point system here, i get 100 free points a day for visiting. i might not download anything for a few days and they add up. ive even paid for points a few times 1000 points for 5 bucks. ive spent around 40 bucks i think for points.....and saved me hundreds. and i hope it helps supports this site, the time and effort, and i also like the contest to earn points, thats a nice touch. the only thing that ever bothered me is i posted a few time but messed up the post and deleted them and had points taken away, 120 all together i think. but hey, free to start with, i thought i made someone mad or something. and good sites to download from, not the stupid sites that are hassles.i even downloaded Reality 4.2 that was for mac but didnt state it and posted about it so others would be aware. the member that posted it gave me my points back,,,didnt expect that. that was nice. yeah your point system dont bother me.
Another problem with posting them as bundles is that unless you purchase the bundle, you get other people posting the same items as you don't know what is in them as they dont come up in the search bar eg @skinklizzard posted DYYS Yang Lin For G8F which is in the bundle gicor posted.
Actually no it wasn't, seeing as I bought the bundle before hand to see what was in it.
he edited the cloud.ru upload and added yang lin just a few hours after my post was approved.either way, it does get confusing and I can understand what @d0gg0d is getting at regarding posting items that are already here and doing them as a bundle.
I believe the issue @d0gg0d was worrying about is the downloading of files here and then reuploading them as a bundle here which imo is kind of rude, although there is no real way of proving either way if this is what is happening in this case or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the topic is about sharing content, how that content is shared and who is allowed to share what.
@Skinlizzard...If there is no real way of proving either way if this is what is happening, then why is it mentioned in the first place. Accusing someone without evidence is far worse than someone being "rude".
Now lets assume the accusation is correct and members are bundling content and reposting, what is so wrong with that? They are taking the time to do what the OP should have done in the first place, but obviously wanted to earn more points by linking them as individual pieces. Why didn't the OP provide a link for the bundle too, it's a simple question. hopefully he/she will answer, or am I being to obnoxious and rude.
Quite possibly @hawkeye, people don't always buy the whole lot of some ones store or a large proportion to post as a bundle, eg, I bought a bundle, some one had already posted part of that bundle, I post what was not posted. Am I going to take points away from the other people who did post the other items in a bundle, nope. They deserve the points as they already went to the trouble to upload and then I just would be duplicating. So we can go and bundle up a whole heap of items that are already posted here and then we have a whole heap of duplicates which is what is happening. And why should some one be expected to post items that they have purchased and paid for separately as a bundle just because people don't wish to pay out the points to download. Would you spend hundreds of dollars and then post it as one when you had to buy separately.

I was just stating that as a "friend" of @gicor, I thought him going out of his way to create a bundle that I have on my bucket-list of models to choose from was not Gicor being rude but rather Gicor being thoughtful. Thank you.
Perhaps if someone reads that page that blocks the website when you initially visit ZoneGFX, you will see the part regarding duplications of models.
I think if anyone posts a known duplicate the points paid should be divided by any and all contributors of similar models with some asterisk telling them this model is already posted by @d0gg0d and notify @d0gg0d that someone else has a similar model but in a Bundle. If the base model is X, then it is X in a bundle or repacked.
Perhaps in all fairness bundles should cost 100 points? Look how quickly @Skinklizzard posted DYYS Yang Lin. Thank you for that, too! I think it would motivate both posters to work together since if a bundle costs 100 points instead of 50 like a single model it is paid out 50-50 or 25-25 is still only 50. When I sold Real Estate my Broker always told us "two fifties make a hundred". So when someone posting a model notices the pattern someone posting a bundle is trying to convey they should contribute their single item to the bundler and both will have additional income as far as ZoneGFX pays it's contributors. Also since it is openly known whom downloads what, previous downloaders should be notified that a newer character has been added to the bundle - with a statement "new as of 01/24/18" next to it.
This encourages participation as well as a sense of inclusion to this community. The links are always open once you buy it, right?

I'm also not accusing anyone of anything, just saying its highly suspicious and makes me less inclined to ever buy and share anything again when the item I bought and then decided to upload here is added to an existing bundle a few hours after my post is approved and available for point buy.imo unless the item is broken or the link needs fixing or the original creator updates the item I don't feel that bundles etc should have their contents updated or changed in any way.
@arthurgarcia You are pointing the finger at the wrong person regarding who downloaded what from who. @d0gg0d uploaded DYYS Yang Lin, @gicor then downloaded it and then put it in his bundle. Easy way to do that is to check the history rather than accuse some one of something they didn't do. If a download link doesn't work for you, you should message the original poster if they can supply another link as you have paid the points to them to download.
