"Once a request has been filled, the asset supplied should ideally be publicly posted within one week.
After that, any member is free to post said item."(https://zonegfx.com/forums/topic/rav-jang-hee-jin-for-genesis-8-1-female/page/3/#post-1755037)
Has this been posted yet or is it open to uploading?
December 10, 2021 at 9:07 AM #1756539I seem to remember a mod saying "after a few weeks" but I don't believe there's any strict rule (that people actually follow). Maybe it is one week. It looks like the poses are up but not the character.
December 10, 2021 at 12:22 PM #1756662There is no 'maybe' about it.
The week is the suggested time allowance.
After that any member who has the item may post it.
🙂
December 11, 2021 at 1:58 AM #1756880Thanks for clarification.
Maybe someone will jump on those free points.
December 11, 2021 at 3:49 PM #1757028Don't hold your breath @d0gg0d. Usually, when this amount of time has passed without it being posted to the blog, it's because the sharer has asked that it not be. Good request fulfillment etiquette is to respect that because it's not unreasonable (could be several reasons why) and because the sharer might stop sharing.
Several folks here have private little sharing groups of certain vendors. Anytime someone here says that a vendor is very aggressive with take-down notices, you can be pretty certain that there is a group of folks here sharing the PA's content privately. Well, that's my experience anyways.
Best bet is contact whoever filled the request and ask them if they'll share with you for whatever points you're willing to offer.
I'd give it to you for free, but don't have it.
December 12, 2021 at 7:10 AM #1757230Thats against site rules so the mods need to post it or hold fillers accountable, right? kinda pointless to have rules that aren't enforced.
Delete the rules since they really dont matter and most people probable dont read them anyway. I appreciate the person filling the bounty but this is a SHARE site and its not right to have people requesting an item that was filled months ago.December 12, 2021 at 8:48 AM #1757239I'm not sure what the actual complaint is. It's either that the filler of a request should up it a week after it's filled, or those who have got it "can" release it a after a week of obtaining it. One theory says a request "can" be released to the general blog after a week by those who got it, and another says the filler "must" post it a week after filling it. The two are not the same thing. I've waited 9 months for a filled request to appear on the general blog. Nevermind it turned out pretty crap anyway and I never used it in the end. Someone need to clarify what is "must" and what is "can", and just who it applies to.
December 12, 2021 at 9:09 AM #1757240I worded the Request Thread Rules very carefully.
There is no 'must' in it.
' Once a request has been filled, the asset supplied should ideally be publicly posted within one week.
After that, any member is free to post said item.'There is no enforcement, only etiquette or best practice.
December 12, 2021 at 10:14 AM #1757262Then @Eelgoo I don't see why some are getting the knickers in a bunch when it's only etiquette.
It appears there's no "rule" to be broken but just generalities of what should happen. Fair enough for me... I'm more than happy the way things are..... I never bitch, well not about this place anyway.
It's funny that on a site where we're doing things completely illegal, some are appealing to some sort of rules-based order.December 12, 2021 at 10:20 AM #1757273You can't please all the people all the time.
🙂
December 13, 2021 at 10:55 PM #1757640Never heard the expression
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.” ― John Lydgate ?
The "problem" is that my request thread had people requesting the product months later. Sure, I could request the thread closed but Ive never done so in the past. Its just me bitching to bitch I guess. I just expect people to think a certain way and am surprised when they dont. I "assume" that an item shared will be posted by the sharer when they disclaimer they attach says: In keeping with the site’s TOS, I have the right to ask those I give my files to, not to post them on the ZoneGFX pages, public pages or on other share sites. This file is for your private enjoyment and use, not for the rest of the world yet, I will post it after a time myself to ZoneGFX. Any questions about this feel free to contact Hunter, Monk, Eelgoo, AnjaBear or Tomsk, the moderators.
An item shared IMHO should eventually be shared with the community. If we are not bound by rules because this is a pirate site then we can start posting whatever we like. There is what I expect to be an implied code of conduct. I am also then NOT bound by the rules of not sharing at the sharers request. I fail to see login attached to your observation of {we are a lawless community)
I guess I can be of the mindset, screw everyone I got the item I wanted and I could care less if anyone else has it. This way of thinking is one reason I've become disenchanted with most of the community.
December 14, 2021 at 4:43 AM #1757679I fully agree @D0gg0d. My expectations are the same as yours. But I'm not sure how, if a strict rule was made, it would be enforced. Site admin would no doubt have access to PMs and therefore the download links. They could send a message to the filler that unless an item is posted, after whatever time, they'll do it themselves. Maybe after someone notifies them of failure to do so. Although that would involve extra work for site admin and might piss off some people. My comment regarding a lawless community was flippant and ignored the issue.... too many beers that night.
December 16, 2021 at 4:24 AM #1758272Well first off the easy way would be to post the item. All mods should and probably do have access to every upload. Anything shared here should be virus scanned and it wouldnt be a bad idea to install most content to see if it runs.
Not sure how much of a workload that would be but ATM Im not sure what the approval process is. Since things have sometimes been posted twice and some without all required files. Even a few I heard possibly had viruses but I wasnt around for that drama.
IF every file here is stored by them then they "should" be able to have a "to be uploaded" section and post them when time expires.
That said, IF the rules are not followed, its fairly easy to remove points from people. Its also easy to temp ban accounts. Probably could even allow access but disable downloads for a set time.
Ive no concept of why anyone would only share with 10 people and request the content never be shared. I would understand it more if it were the persons actual creation but not someone else's.
I am also aware several files are stored by the mods and are never uploaded by them for random reasons.
