You don't even need critical thinking. Just watch Doctor Who.
July 19, 2024 at 12:50 PM #2083816I guess AI, as a lot of inventions, is neither good or bad.It simply is.
What we tell it to do makes it good/bad ( and even that depends on the eye of the beholder). If AI is used for mass control it can be a frighting future we are looking at.
If AI is used for medical en socio economic problems, it could be a blessing. But knowing man kind, I am afraid it will be option A....
July 19, 2024 at 1:53 PM #2083820@legolas18 - that's pretty sweet... at least they've got my biggest complaint (the character persistence) mostly solved. Settling for mix/match famous models to get there sounds like a good start, but what if you wanted something specific that you formed, instead of an assumption of popular faces? Some of us do unique stuff, stuff that doesn't visually tie to anyone famous (that is, can I feed it a picture and have it operate just off of that image or series of images?) Like I said - it's getting there, which is more than I thought it could. I bet he has it restricted to just a specific and limited set of loras(?) to work from.
The flattened tones and semi-fixed light temperatures of the strict comics format he used looks like it smooths over most of the inconsistencies.
I know it's likely I'll never see it, but I'd love to have something like a modified SD, where I feed it pictures (or even far better, feed it an .fbx) of a character with a unique name, and it remembers that character exactly. Same with clothing. From there, composition can be done via text easily enough, though the ability to have the AI move a virtual 'camera' on top of it all would totally seal the deal.
July 19, 2024 at 3:11 PM #2083824@Pooper You can have a custom character too. That requires FaceID (it substitutes the image's face with one of your choice).
As for the 3d thing, you can sorta do that with Daz and img2img (think of it as rendering with AI).
Granted, it's possible to do most things, but I guess it is not too user friendly and would require some work.
Personally, I am not needing consistent characters (it sounds like a lot of work), but I use Daz for poses to drive my AI images, although it doesn't do so with 100% accuracy, but about 70-80%.
July 19, 2024 at 3:31 PM #2083827ChatGPT just passed the US Medical Licensing Exam. No fk'n way I could do that.
of course you could, if you had the same conditions like ChatGPT ... which means you had all the medical knowledge digital available with a search function. that's not half as impressive as it sounds ... because medical terms are very unique/specific and therefor easy searchable. it's like giving you the questions and answers as pdf and all you had to do is matching them.
July 19, 2024 at 5:52 PM #2083833the person claim to have achieve consistency but he did not. Notice the cloth on this picture around the neck. 3 pannels, 3 differents style
July 19, 2024 at 6:05 PM #2083835@Heetee True, not absolute consistency but good enough, given the technique he was using.
If I remember correctly, there are ways to lock a particular character and clothing (it can be done for video). Admittedly, I haven't use these techniques because I have no use for consistent characters as of yet.
July 19, 2024 at 6:22 PM #2083837@Pooper I thought you might find this video interesting. There is a section in which an AI "renders" a 3D scene. Quite impressive if you ask me 🙂
@Heetee I also thought you might find this interesting. As you can see there already is consistency of characters in videos, which can be easily translated to consistency to images. 🙂July 19, 2024 at 7:38 PM #2083841
some movies are just windows into what could be
July 19, 2024 at 8:49 PM #2083844@D0gg0d The Matrix was a revolutionary idea for its time, but at this point I think it falls a bit short.
Think about a fully developed world for each user, generated by an AI connected to your brain that knows better than you consciously do what you actually like. Obviously, with a complete character arc so that you can also become the best version of yourself with the partner of your dreams (and, most importantly, with the pet of your dream).
On the go fully customized realities 🙂
July 19, 2024 at 10:45 PM #2083860this is Ai the music is sung by AI i wrote the lyrics the intro video is an image that AI turned into video and uses lyp-synch much like daz does
July 20, 2024 at 3:05 AM #2083878More into the idea of humans being used as a power source than all the philosophical nonsense.
July 20, 2024 at 3:08 AM #2083879AI girls are tossing bras on a digital stage
July 20, 2024 at 4:59 AM #2083881I'm pretty sure AI will put me out of a job.
July 20, 2024 at 5:52 AM #2083888Yeah, windows having a little issue recently
