OK you're right @Legolas18. I'll get rid of it. The problem is that almost everything is sharing texture maps with other things so it's hard to take bits away.

Changed the image. The bloody footpath shares the same texture as the street signs and a whole lot of other stuff... lazy Polish.
And I didn't get the City Street from here. Didn't want the bundle just the street.

film noir.. Good tip... I think that I should also make one again.
B&W renders looks so beautiful printed on high glossy (A3) paper.

Great render. Was the wet street also in the package??

@Lucafeelgood Well yes and no. It kind of is because everything has melallicity turned way up. I turned it down because I didn't like it then changed my mind. There's also a water plane I put on the footpath.... sorry sidewalk. I changed some signs which was really hard because like I said there's only a few base textures in the whole set and finding which bits belong where was a nightmare.

This is amazing! I love the atmosphere; great job! And I'm a film noir fan too, so this pretty much ticks all the boxes!

beautiful image! i have a nutty question: is it, like, 95% desaturated? i.e. slightly in color? my eye is not what it once was, but i swear i detect hints of color in the cigar signage, the most distant car, and some of the windowpane reflections. probably just crazy ole me...

No you're not going nuts @Jakesilvey. There's a tiny bit of colour in there.

It looks great Frank. I love the mood. What a time it must have been...

There was an interesting contest in 2018 for noir style that I think you will like:

I's a beautiful picture, a full atmosphere and a great composition.
One suggest : Did you try a little more contrast on the background (buildings) ? I see a difference between the very contrasted red car (yes, the rain) and the buildings. Maybe a Dark black-magenta in the contrast of the buildings should match a little more the two parts ?
But i love this gentle picture.

"My suggest is a bullshit" @Tristanbresson.
No it's not at all. It's a good point and I think the difference in contrast is because there's a fog pane that doesn't extend down very much, so the car has less fog in front of it.
It might have been better to lower the fog a bit closer to the ground. Thanks for your comment Tristanbresson.
