I want to use 3dcu.com as a backup. But registration fails with an error saying SMTP connection failed. Do you also use the site? Why aren't the admins fixing it?
I do not recommend that disgusting place at all. Apart from being leeches, the download links are from slow nitroflare-type hosts, and, in many cases, you need a "premium" account... Screw the Vietnamese. Puarghhh!
@abad is correct. All these other sharing sites are parasites that get ALL their items from here. They contribute nothing to us or the sharing scene in general. You don't need any backup but here and our discord server.
Chiming in agreement here.
There are very few sites (four that I know of) which would be decent backup sites to this one should it go down permanently, and they all pull most of their content from here.
Places like 3DCU should simply be ignored. They download stuff from here, then store their copies on stupid "premium" sites* that only allow one stupid-slow download every few hours, unless you pay them money for faster download access. I bet 3DCU gets a cut of the payments, which is why they do it. It's pure sleaze, and best avoided.
I sniff around for new sites a lot (just because), and whenever I find one that uses "premium" download sites to store their goodies on (ex. Rapidgator or Filejoker), I immediately ignore it and move on.
* the "premium" sites make their money by storing tons of pirated data and porn, then having porn pirates upload all their stuff to it, so they get paid by horny losers with credit cards. You can still download stuff from them, but at ancient modem speeds, and only one file every 2-3 hours to make it so irritating that you'll pay them to get more faster. It's stupid, and only stupid people do it.
