Isn't it easier just to download, extract the archive, delete the problem files, repack the archive and upload?

It's also about the approx date and time when purchasing, so they can't track it back by/from shopping stats🤔

i have an application that changes folders' and files' created, modified and accessed time/date.

it's called "Change Folder Date" (despite the name, it does allow changing file times/dates)

Yeah, make sure you scrub those files. People are resharing files that are specifically meant to be kept off the blog and there is no punishment for it. So, if you're worried about your accounts you'll want to make sure your files are untraceable.

So...if there is no .dbf file in the archive, is it safe to assume it is not being tracked?

Back in 2000 daz and rendo tried this way of tracking files. Thing was a lot of the files came off Emule and the vendors were adding viruses and other nasty things to them. This forced you to buy from daz and rendo didn't work though.

Hence why they used .exe files as their method of installing content prior to the DIM (DAZ Install Manager) came to be.

I just tried your suggested program @scoobydude51. It worked well. I 'detracked' my recently uploaded files even though Daz and Rendo aren't tracking yet as far as we know.

Question. I gave in and did buy the thing I requested and wanted from RH, but quite few joined my request and I am not native speaker - hence let me re-ask to confirm.

If I use "Change Folder Date" - set some nice date which isn't my purchase date, change all the files made some other time, I can just share the file safely with other folk, who joined req?

I have also never filled request, so all this is very fresh to me.

"@eikeegi, I just did that to a couple of files I just shared and it worked fine.
Remember to NOT share any file for at least a month after it's released and a few weeks after you buy it. This gives the artist a month to make the bulk oh his/her sales. It also looks suspicious if a file gets shared right after YOU but it. If lots of folks have bought it then your purchase is 'hidden' among all the others, but if you're the only one who buys it for several days and it gets posted a few hours after you're purchase, then it points a finger at you. Remember, the vendors are in this forum and watching us.

If suppose that unless you managed to get two different copies of the asset and compare the SHA you could never be absolutely sure it has been detracked, am I right?
