I've put an emissive cone inside a jet object to give a sense of heat and light but the cone stands out as too perfect so is there a way to reduce the cones opacity? I've had a look in the surfaces edit tab and can't really see anything that affects it 🙄
Thanks. Can't quite remember as I'm at work at the moment, but I thought I'd tried that... I'm using the emissive cone from the ALTERGLOW set so I may need to run through their docs 🙂
Okay, I haven't used that set (AFAIK), so can't be too sure about that, but I would assume it's either that, or some other setting(s) you can play around with
I did exactly that for a jetpack. What i did was add an emissive shader in blue ( you could use a red or yellow light or whatever color suits your flame! )
You can then adjust the opacity to modify. I also put one cone inside another with the inner being a brighter light blue and the outer cone a darker blue with less opacity so the inner shines through. Makes for a great jet exhaust effect.
