With a little bit more search, i found that this hairstyle is also show on display here in this product. But yet again, there is no credit in the description telling what hairstyle it is. 🙁
I've been sorting though the cobwebs of my mind and my archives on this. This hair looks so familer. At first I though it was the Anime Flip Hair for Maya Doll but it's not. At the moment I am stumped.
I'm pretty at a lost myself.
I can only assume it's a relatively pretty old hair style since in the second promo, it is used in a Aiko 3 morph ressource.
Last night, i've searched throught all of renderosity database product with the "hair" tag and didn't find anyting!!!
I'll try searching Daz story database again with the hair tag too tonight, but although i already did that a while ago, i don't remember seeing any hair looking like this too.P.S: For those wondering where the reference picture come from, the first one is from

And since there is also no option that let you "showcase" your post before actually sumbitting it, you can't see how your post will look like before posting it and correcting any mistake you made.....
<CHUCKLES> Yea, goofing on a post can be a hassle. I knew the first image was from Mae and I was pretty sure the 2nd one was not but was unsure has to who. So it is from an A3 promo image. I just check my old gen3 Archive and could not find it, or atleast in the section that has been reoriginzed. I still have a massive archive that needs re-sorting though and I am sure I still have more gen items there, has well has more old Toon items. Whats twisting my knckers up in a knot is that I think I use to have it, although I will admit I could be confusing it with the Anime Flip Hair for Maya Doll.
Well, it's been 3 days of searching on Daz store, Renderosity and PoserContent about Hairs and Toon Character from V4 Generation and older model Generation to try to find this hair style and i still couldn't find anything that look like it. I give up.
I really hoped someone here with a lot more knowledge could have known the name of this hairstyle. Anyway, if someone finaly found it, i'm ready to give him/her a few hundred points for just the help and the trouble.
Alors @StarryEyes , i tried searching for that "Anime flip hair" you were speaking about just to have a look at it and i couldn't find it either. Are you sure it's the right name ?
Yes, it was by Studio Maya and was for Maya Doll.
I still have it in my old runtime, though I can not find it in my archives. I did go see if it was still avaible at the Studio Maya web site. No go. It's not there. But on the other hand, I have ow ID'ed the hair in question. It is the Cutie Honey hair and comes with CH for MD set which "IS" still avaible in the Studio Maya freebies area.

Okay, so I looked a few sources I use. I thought it was called flame but it might be shag or rag or even mop hair. I would guess it was some sort of Hongyu or Biscuits or even this one: (https://zonegfx.com/shortbob-hair-for-nearme/) Usually the artist that does the tune makes the hair as well or even posts the source. It could also be toon hair shaders and such:

Also, before "Auto-Fit", a lot of characters shared hair with other characters though 'refits'. Pose/Morph files that alter the base geometery of a hair so it will fit another character. I have, or had, a LOT of old hair refits making gen3 hair fit gen4 characters and Maya Doll or Anime Doll hair fit Victoria or Miki or Cookie or Koshini, etc, or vice versa. Also, sometimes the refits would not be by the original artist but by someone wo was willing to take the time and do the work. You still needed the original hair.

No wonder i couldn't find it. I was browsing through Daz store, Rendersosity and PoserContent. It never crossed my mind it could have come from a free collection from a third party website.
And to top it all, it is free!
I just downloaded it. Now i just hope i'll be able to use those file in Daz Studio and the hair is gonna work on my Gen2 character. (I don't really care much it the auto-fit doesn't work. I'll just manually attach, adjust and pose them on the head.For your help, StarryEyes, you truely deserve those 200 points. It's not much, but still...
@arthur g : Sorry, i was looking for the name of the RED HAIR style in the two picture completly at the top of this post. And StarryEyes nailed it.<chuckles> Here's another look at the hair. I downloaded and dropped it into my Toon runtime to give it a shoot.
It just an old fashion Poser hair prop. I did have to adjust it's Y & Z translation to place it correctly on Star but hat's all the adjustments I did to it.
