So ATM my hard drive is deleting around 500+ gigs of Daz / poser files. rather than try and search through them and delete selected ones, i'm doing a complete start over. Still gonna take awhile since I have a huge selection of stuff to reinstall.
Ive decided do abandon V4 and most poser content. I know there are hard core poser people and V4 fans. I like V4 as well. However I almost never use her.
I visited The official poser store a few days ago. Something I have not done in many years. It was a sad looking place compared to Daz.
With the quality of products I see popping out for G3 and some of the newer stuff I've seen starting to come out for G8. I cant see a reason to go with poser characters. I'm going to look towards the future for G8. Most new daz stuff will probably be Iray ready.
You can transfer entire G3 characters, morphs, textures and poses to G8. You can transfer almost all old content from g1,2,3 to G8. You can drop Male clothes on G8. Auto fit works fairly well.
Probably a matter of a few scripts and Daz "may" make it simpler to do this but it isnt that hard atm.
I havent used much V4 clothes lately but G8 has an autofit option for that also. I may try it with a few V4 items I find impossible to live without.
Ive come to this mostly because out of 931 gigs of space on my laptop was filling up quickly.
My desire for shaders is helping that. Also I hate looking through the poser file system and find daz layout to be more user friendly. I dont really feel like trying to organize that mess.So Im streamlining my content so less is more, Thoughs?

If you are starting afresh, it would be a good time to organise your runtime so it makes sense to you & eases your workflow.
Personally the only reason I use V4 is to 'GenX' morphs to G3F.
(My favourite textures I use TT to convert over).
I am hoping for an easy fix to morph transfer to G8, as I find the work arounds fiddly & time consuming.🙂
id like to keep a few textures from V4 so If you can link me a way to transfer them to G3 please do so.
If you transfer the morph to G3 then you should be able to transfer it to G8 but it is an extra step I guess.
I use Blacksmith's Texture Transformer, which does a pretty decent job.
G3F - G8F is that extra step that I just don't get.
Singular Blues over in the Daz Forums is working on a script for it, but it isn't perfected yet.Pretty much uncheck everything, click hearts, transfer morphs, delete G3 and poof. MAGIC.
Also Ive stumble on that you can do poses this way because I forgot to uncheck something. but not sure what. Havent messed with it much.
I did a Huge batch conversion off all my G3 morphs and characters but deleted it since im going to be more picky.
Read this. Will take you like 5 minutes to transfer a morph once you get use to it.

@eelgoo The version here states it does not include a texture converter.
What version do I request? 🙂
Well, the one I am using is Texture Transformer standalone.
It is obsolete, & a little finnicky.If I were you, I would request the current version available at Rosity.

Ok I need some help. So Ive Downloaded GenX 2 and everything else with the genX name
I installed GenX2 6 times. Reason is every time I open Daz I can not find it anywhere. I cant create a tab or find it in a pull down menu. Ive tried tracking its install location but have only found one file.
There is an option to install it with a short cut but, it doesn't create a Icon.
Where are you going to make this function? Thanks
If you have run the installation, you will need to enter a serial number in DS for it to be enabled.
From the main drop down menu
Help / About Installed Plug Ins.
This will give you a list of all installed plug ins.
The plug colour coding shows you the status of each plug-in.
You should see Genesis Generation X2 listed there with a red plug next to it.
Enter your serial number next to it & click OK.Restart Daz & hopefully the plug should now show green.
If it does, you are good to go.
Next step go to Window from the top drop down
Panes (Tabs) opens up a drop down list.
Double click GenX & it should open a pop up window
which you can resize & dock wherever suits you.🙂

So this item needs Daz3d serial number or it needs its own custom serial.
If its a stand alone custom serial, it should be included in a DL file, have a crack, be already fixed, have a write over exe file that has been cracked. ect... or its useless.
