In recent years, high-quality animal rigs for VFX in MAYA have been released for sale. While animal models for Blender are widely available, paid animal and creature models for MAYA are extremely expensive, so despite MAYA’s large user base, such models rarely circulate.
I’ve been searching for nearly ten years and finally came across this site, but as expected, most of the available models were for Blender. A dinosaur model for MAYA was released last month, but it dates back to 2018 and is no longer compatible with rendering as of 2025.
I’m currently looking for animal rigs compatible with both MAYA and Unreal Engine, such as this one:

I don't think you'll find much high end items here. This site is almost exclusively for items for Daz3D. There's a bit of Blender and game related stuff.
You might try F95 ( https://f95zone.to/ ) and see what kind of response you get. High end items from any platform don't usually get released, not that I've seen.your best bet would be to look for ripped game assets from high profile and blockbuster games -- there are a number of good to excellent quality non-human animal models and the formats can be converted in cases where they cannot be opened natively by maya.
another option is to use cross-tracker torrent search add-ons like jackett, prowlarr or nzbhydra2.
irc can also be an unusual, but very effective source.
I think you will find that the Artist you mention is one of the ones that also supply the blender versions for VFX Grace and Unreal Engine. Models like this are expensive and dont get shared that often as most people purchasing them are using them for business. Actually surprised that there are so many VFX Grace assets for blender here.
