But they only feed off the stuff already posted here so don't expect anything new, different or unique... only leachers.
If you really want something unique then go to a site like this and put some effort into file conversion, re-texturing and such, but I guess it might involve too much effort on your part. Everyone wants things served to them on a plate, lazy........I was looking for other sites to get environments/props from ones I am missing/ "not available""

I hear ya. It seems that kids don't want to take the time to learn things for themselves.
both renderstate and shadowcore occasionally get stuff that isn't posted here. The other two @frank22 mentioned don't.
The problem with places like desirefx is you need a premium account to d/l most of their stuff.
To the OP: I have not found another site that has what zone has, which is a robust Request function. This is the only place I've seen where people have a decent chance of getting things they want they aren't already in the wild. It sets Zonegfx apart and should be supported by our patronage for providing it.

I tried the 3d-stuff-dot-community site, but it seems rather convoluted (and had nearly everything I can already find here.)
DesireFX is also just a mirror of what's here. They have other 3D items but their download sites are absolutely, completely, positively, tragically, horrifically shit.
Yeh some sites seem to be set up solely to get you to buy a host premium account, it's also rife in the online porn industry [I've been told]. They probably get some sort of kick-back from the host. I'd say about 80% of the stuff on DesireFX you can't DL for free. But for stuff you can't get anywhere else like electronics, furniture, plants, retro stuff, it's sometimes worth a try if you're willing to convert them. I've got a lot of cars from there.
