I haven't seen much interest for the Life Is Strange characters in the last few months, is it all dead? There a re quite a few gaps left in the collection of those we could hunt down. That's a bit sad O_o

What is this? A series, movie? A search at Daz and Rendo turned up empty and a general search returned only one render posted on R/Daz on Reddit.

Life is Strange (in this case the first one, none of the sequel work) is a game by DontNod.
DS Models ripped from it were made by 3DICK (huhu) and some others like Shinteo have tinkered with it a bit. I even located someone on Patreon who ported 3 of the "maps" to DS.
If you check 3DICK 's shop at the Hub you'll see he ripped quite a few of the characters and some requests are still floating in the request zone. I was referring to the fact that no peep about these has been heard for a long time, while they were quite popular at some point.

Thanks for the link. I've never seen game stuff being terribly popular in the Poserverse. I would have loved to have some stuff from the Half Life and Castle Wolfenstein franchises, but almost nothing ever appeared.

True that. I think it's mostly due to game characters from Wolfenstein and Half-Life being essentially used through a first person perspective. There are cutscenes of course and the chara design in the late wolfenstein games were superb, but ultimately, the character is you.
In the LIS game, you decide on what Max does but you still see her as a person of her own as the game unfolds. Also, the game mechanics is decisions based on a human level, which makes it more involving than when we just shoot at things. The characters, at least the essential ones, were rather well fleshed out, with realistic dialogues. It makes them more relatable to, so that's a bonus when you want to render stuff with them. You can decide to render something very "in character" if you're a hardcore fan (I'm Team kate myself) or "out of character" for comedic effects and because you know how they really supposed to be, it makes it all the more interesting.
If you know the game well and see for example Warren and Nathan playing poker, or Victoria and Max hanging out together, you can't help but have a giggle. And yeah, if your mind in the gutter, possibilities are endless too.
Ideally, I'd learn Blender, get assets for it and make some cycles renders that would probably look quite nice. I've seen the things some people have produced... but even so, planning it in DS first would be a bonus. That's why I am not really giving up on the DS versions myself and keep scrutinizing the horizon with some kind of hope in my heart.

I'm only vaguely familiar with "Life Is Strange" and recall hearing some buzz about it many years ago. My best guess is that the buzz for this game has run its course and the game and its characters have been mostly forgotten by the Daz Studio rule34 community. It was the same with TLOU, with new rips of its most notable characters appearing nearly every other day; then suddenly it was all but forgotten in favor of some other popular franchise.

In any case, its rare for most characters (especially males) to get ripped aside from the hottest and/or most popular female leads. A notable exception is Baldur's Gate 3 where people seem to be wild about *all* the characters for mix-and-match rule34 fun.

In the DS community, probably, yes. In the Blender/SFM community, though, LIS is still kicking in the lewds area and in DevArt and the like, there's still a fair amount of LIS artwork going on. It's a bit of a cult thing.
Notably, 3DICK did rip quite a few of the male characters, not even necessarily the handsome ones. Even Pompidou the dog got his conversion. Pompidou... that one always makes me laugh. Who would call his dog the name of a dead french president?
LivingPixel, if you're curious, you might want to check the game out. the full game season is cheap at GOG and makes for a few hours of rather fresh entertainment.

They are sold through Render Hub (simplistic answer)

You may have some luck hunting down a bit of it on Kemono... DazWraps has a lot of LIS characters here - mostly for Genesis 8 male and female: https://kemono.su/patreon/user/42305170

If your only goal is to make lewds with game characters, SFM is a better tool. The import process and animation tools are superior to Daz's. Interest for Daz content is pretty much limited to the newest and hottest, and the stylized art style of Life is Strange doesn't mesh well with the realism of other Daz assets, so any render that's done in Daz looks jarringly faker than it should.

Mona, I agree with you on this point. I did take a lok at SFM a long time ago but that program hasn't aged very well and is, to say the least, very clunky. I couldn't get my hands on a proper tutorial, back then. It was all very fragmentary and rather useless. Which is sad, considering alll that good SFM stuff I've found online. Lately, when looking at how the models for lewds are made by whoever makes them, it turns out they often use daz bodies they tweak/convert/rerig or whatever to run with Blender. Now that would be interesting too, if only Blender wasn't such a usine à gaz as we say in french, very clunky and with buttons and menus all over the place. And all these key shortcuts... I swear, they do it to be confusing 😀

'usine à gaz' That's hilarious! I haven't heard that since I lived in Quebec.
