I just saw that their profile is gone. I'm in shock, anyone know what happened?
This was their distributions link, https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/7361747/illustrations/%E9%85%8D%E5%B8%83
December 8, 2023 at 5:37 PM #2047430There's been an ongoing purge on Pixiv for several months. Many artists have disappeared or been banned.
December 11, 2023 at 3:29 PM #2047898I've seen it too - was too many of them get kicked off (mostly because of genitalia not being blurred, stuff like that.)
December 12, 2023 at 1:10 AM #2047994Man that sucks… I had no idea, that’s sad.
December 12, 2023 at 1:40 AM #2047996Pixiv changed their rules earlier this year so that could be part of it. There's still a lot of stuff there that would be considered massively inappropriate to host in countries outside of Japan. Rarely go there myself because of that.
December 12, 2023 at 4:06 PM #2048062It can get pretty ugly if you stumble too far off the beaten path there, but you can restrict the "R-18" (adult) content which lessens the blow, yet doing so still allows for most "Distribution" (free items) to show up in searches.
December 14, 2023 at 8:00 AM #2048330Yup it’s a kind of sick rabbit hole of sorts. I only followed them because their work was so good, the quality of the freebies. I don’t dare search there. As of now, only follow 2 creators because this has happened.
January 23, 2024 at 11:20 PM #2055047Just got an email from them saying my account is suspended. A bit strange considering I haven't been there for over 12 months. The "prohibited posts" list in the email doesn't apply to anything I've posted unless it's some SD celebrities. Seeing as I no longer go there it's no skin off my nose anyway. It looks like they're going back through all their old images, purging the hive and issuing bans.
January 24, 2024 at 2:04 AM #2055064Apparently the purge started because of threats from the American based credit card companies. After the stink with PornHub(?), they got touchy and threatened to not do business with anyone who hosted images that where deemed unacceptable to Western countries.
I'm still surprised that some Asian country hasn't started it's own CC company.January 24, 2024 at 10:01 AM #2055098Wait, there are freebies on Pixiv?
January 24, 2024 at 2:46 PM #2055101Yep - just search for "distribution", and you get a ton of them, but for daz-specific stuff, this may help: https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/%E9%85%8D%E5%B8%83%20daz/artworks?p=2&s_mode=s_tag
Another term is "freebie", but it's less popular as a term: https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/Freebie/artworks
