Just curious as to why there is so many "upcoming" posts as of late? Is there really a need to delay so many post's from being able to download?
"Upcoming" is an option that posters can employ - usually it's a way to share something they already shared under the requests forum (for points).
Think of it as a way to encourage more requests, but to also not leave anyone else out later.
The bulk of these upcoming posts are also ones that have been filled with the new request system, which is why you may see so many more right now.
With the new system a lot of requests are being filled, and also getting upcoming posts at the same time.
Much easier to fill requests with the new system than digging through a forum post, noting down 5-40 different names and points, making a message to everyone, then keeping track of who has and has not paid points. Thus there have been many requests filled in the past day or two that sat on the forum for months.
