I don't have a lot of experience with using cracked software. I find the instructions in the readme for the cracked version of facegen to be too vague. It goes like this:
1. Remove Previous Version
2. Install
3. Replace with crack
4. Block with Firewall.
5. RunCan anyone explain what this means? Thanks in advance.
Look in the installed directory where you should find the .exe file. This is the actual program itself. In the crack directory will also be a .exe file with the same name as the actual program's file name.
!!!!MAKE A BACKUP OF THE ACTUAL PROGRAM FILE FIRST!!!!!
Either rename it or move it to another directory. Renaming is easiest and you'll always know where the original is. You'll have to have ownership or have elevated privileges to rename the program file.
Replace the actual program in the installed file with the one from the crack directory.
If you have an icon on the desktop you might have to re-direct it to the newly replaced file.
!!!KEEP ALL THE CRACK STUFF IN CASE YOU NEED TO RE_INSTALL!!!!
Block your firewall to prevent any file in the installed directory from accessing the internet. Often, the writers of the original program will include a file that checks with their website to see if your installed copy is legitimate or is a hacked version. Keeping it from 'calling home' will prevent this. Cracks that include a serial number are famous for this. They'll call home and when home finds that the serial number you're using isn't legit, your program will stop working.
