While looking for a prop this morning on an old HD I came across stuff I've all but forgotten circa 2006.
All done in Poser but I think the last image was in Vue. The first image was the first I ever did, posted it to Rendo, I was so proud of it LOL.
Upscaled because my screen rez in those days was 600x800.[click img]
Anyway this is the prop I was after. A swim inner tube. I've got the geometry but not the texture for it. Any ideas?
@Frank22 those are beautiful pieces! Really like the drunk and the last 2 (hopping in the rain and the river crossing). Amazed by what is in the realm of possible a decade ago - I haven't seen too much of your work as of late, please do share more!

Well I'm pretty much in the same boat as LivingPixels and "...my early renders wouldn’t be appropriate to share..."
But here's a few SFW Poser/Vue ones from about 2007. The Poser4 lighting was so crap I imported to Vue and C4D. Wouldn't know how to use either of those programs now... just a distant memory.
The kite one was inspired by Polin. He influenced my style quite a bit back then.[click img]
I've taken on LP's idea of "now and then" and revisited one of the renders above. It's based on the 2003 Hoshi no Koe. One of the most poignant anime romances around. Shinkai scripted, drew, animated, and produced the entire movie on his own.
Spoiler Alert - Middle-school student Mikako Nagamine is drafted by the UN Space Army to serve as a Tracer pilot, her boyfriend Noboru fails the exam. They keep in touch using cell phone text messages but the farther away she gets, the longer it takes for the messages to reach each other. Eventually Noboru must wait years for any word that Mikako is even still alive. "I'm turning into a version of myself who does nothing but wait for a message from her..." Eventually a text reaches him, explaining that she's now eight lightyears away. You can watch it here if you like this style anime.[click img]

@frank22 wow! you've got a lot of great stuff there! Really like the lemonade stand and your revisit render! It's incredible, could really feel it, and it's quite sad/heartfelt!@diviniren - he is laying on a couch.
This was one of my first renders in May last year.. been using Daz for quite a while now but had never rendered any.. basically because my setup was a Dell Latitude E6430 with an i5 3rd gen, 16GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 😀
.. got a better setup last year and have rendered a few.. and this is my fav..

Speaking of lemonade @Diviniren, here's a nice little prop set I got today. Add your own texture/shader to the tray, the rest of the shaders should be DS defaults.
