I like the render and particularly the lighting. It could be a tad brighter to bring out more detail in the foreground. Lighting is indeed hard to get right and as well as being the hardest thing IMO, it pretty much makes or breaks an image.

Nice to see The Streets of Steampunk again. Is one of my favorite environment. What I like is the cold light coming from the right. The 2 figures really jump out of the environment and this creates a good depth in the image. Also the format is a good choice. How longer I look at the picture, how more I see. Trying the whole time to find out what is to be visible in the girl's spectacles.
    Well done Gaver.
PS sorry for my bad English.

    What's wrong ?
    The light ...
Your main caracter is in the dark.
The light spot on a roof.
Our eyes always follow the light first.
Rotation of the HDRI could be suffisant.

You could also turn a little the camera to re equilibrate the scene if your main caractere is the woman. But you certainly will have to put something in the distance to attenuate the sky light.

An other way could be to add an other spot light in front of the caractere, just to lighten it up a little.
Your global ambiance is very subtil (I like this kind of picture), so nothing will be easy

And sorry too for my bad english πŸ™‚

    Daniel.

I'm think the only problem is the poor quality wearables and the male character skin. Anyway this is good and realistic in other parts.
