I seem to be staring at (the program is not responding) more often than not lately. Try to load OOT hair, 10 min freeze. Try to load a scene, 20+ minute freeze. I pretty much have to ctrl-alt-delete any time I need to restart.
I dunno if updating would help at all or if I'm better off staying with what I have.

It's your system it's your computer other people don't have that problem Just research about freezing and see what other people are saying and try all of those steps until one works How much ram do you have that's important what's your video card I have an rtx 3050 and 64 gb of ram and daz runs perfect

16gb regular ram
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF 3.61 GHzJanuary 11, 2023 at 4:46 PM #1912566It does the same thing with nothing else open or running in the background, DAZ does however tend to take up waaay too much ram. At this moment with a render going it's using 100% of the GPU and 95% of the ram. DAZ: 10,894.2mb vs the browser I'm using's 231.3mbs.
I don't have issues with any other programs and my PC will be a year old in Feb.I guess I'll get my husband to check the bios stuff when he has time or when he installs the new ram I got.
January 11, 2023 at 7:11 PM #1912593Like mjoe and LivingPixels, my first thought is to look at your system RAM and free storage space. Try restarting your PC, then load a single new character in an empty scene and adding the OOT hair. OOT hairs are notoriously large and will fill up your RAM. If you're maxing out your RAM and defaulting to the page file it's going to be very very slow.
Of course, the common curse of too many downloaded character morphs could cause this as well.

I agree with enjoyify
January 12, 2023 at 1:19 PM #1912836I had problem with the computer freezing and having all sorts of strange issues while using DAZ. It turned out that the CPU got overheated when the GPUs got heated up. Probably this happened because of dust collected over time.
What I did was to open up the computer, bought a rather powerful table fan and... voila... no more freezing!
