Hello, I would like to ask you how to act in these situations.
1) Member fills out the request, hangs it at the same time in the post, and then sends the PM, claiming the points you offered in the request.
2) Member fills out the request, hangs it on the shedule post, and then sends the PM, claiming the points you offered in the request.
Personally, it bothers me a lot and I would like to clarify how to act in such situations.
I do not know if this has been asked on any other occasion, if so, I apologize and ask you to refer me to the post in which it is spoken. Thanks in advance

October 28, 2022 at 11:39 PM #1883136In my case, I always send the points I offered.
October 29, 2022 at 12:32 AM #1883149I send the points offered in the request.
October 29, 2022 at 1:20 AM #1883155Not sure if it satisfies the question, or precisely fits the circumstance, but this
...was previously discussed.
Personally (and as stated), it would seem strange to expect points for an item which is posted on the blog (if that's the same meaning as OP), whether previously offered/agreed-to or not. If someone was truly miffed, points are cheap and I guess I'd acquiesce to keep things friendly. But then, points are cheap, so why would a filler be so adamant about the small? If I was the filler for such a blog item I'd completely let it go.
October 29, 2022 at 3:01 AM #1883183Posting products immediately after filling requests might be too much of a temptation for some to renege on their request offer, especially for high value stuff they've offered lots of points for.
One could apportion fault somewhat equally to both the reneger for stiffing, and the filler for upping too soon after filling.
Personally I always send points even for stuff I no longer need anymore.
October 29, 2022 at 9:22 AM #1883286I think the easiest compromise is to delay posting to the blog until all bounties are in.
Once they are in then post to the blog.
Offering substantial bounties don't just only help to secure items for the pledger, they also should make a blog posting for all members more likely.
Far too many items never reach the blog, so we don't need any discouragement of blog posting.October 29, 2022 at 9:26 AM #1883293It is very curious that a person who precisely does not pay, allows himself the luxury of giving his opinion.
yours if it is impudencegreetings champion,
October 29, 2022 at 9:33 AM #1883304I agree with you eelgoo,
and if I have not misunderstood,
those are the recommendations said in the forum.
For what I don't know, what is the reason for this lack of ethics?October 29, 2022 at 9:35 AM #18833061. I always pay, even if it is posted to the blog or becomes available on another site first.
2. If you want to avoid ambiguity, you can always say it when you make the request. I believe Anja does this to some extent. You could include language like, "5000 point. This offer is only good if the item is not available on the blog." That way, the fulfiller is given a heads up.
October 29, 2022 at 9:53 AM #1883323Item 2.
The way you worded that to me discourages posting items to the blog.
Not good.October 29, 2022 at 4:16 PM #1883457In my experience there are two types of request fillers.
Those who already have an item but have no interest in sharing it publicly. Not relevant to this discussion.
Those who either were likely to get the item anyway and/or are incentivized to go buy the item in order to get the points/add to the community shares. Since your offer of points is in effect an incentive for others to pay real money for an item, the points should definitely be paid regardless of whether or not they post to the blog. The points offered are a far better deal than buying it yourself.
October 30, 2022 at 1:15 AM #1883608I'm a little confused by the wording in some of these replies. But for my part, I believe it benefits everyone if we always pay what we promised.
The only exception I make is when I get a PM but the item was already posted to the blog by a different member. In this case my points go to the first person to post it. But this has only happened a couple times.
Pay what you promise. These fake points are worth far less than your honor and reputation.
October 30, 2022 at 2:47 AM #1883617If I promised points and get a PM witha link to it, I pay those points, even if I could get it for free (or a mere 50pts) otherwise.
Keeping one's word is fundamental to keeping the site running.
