Don't you think that a 30GB download in 16 files (needing all of them to unzip anything) is totally unrealistic. One option is to create a torrent and the other is to make the zips so that one can at least just download whatever one needs. Some people/countries have speed/bandwidth restrictions so this is really not viable (in my opinion)
Also: If one of the links go down then then the entire download is wasted.
October 25, 2022 at 7:23 AM #1881524I just need to clarify one thing - I am happy to pay separately for each file so if I were to download all 16 then I will pay 16 times.
October 25, 2022 at 8:30 AM #1881544No reason not to just put individual items in a folder and upload.
Use Mega, and everyone can visit and select files from folder over days if need to. and DL what wanted to suit.Similar situation with
The Four Editors: PLATINUM BUNDLE: COMPLETE ALL IN 1 (Adobe)
Even though on Mega - 5Gb file, not in folder, all 1 rar.
Files in a folder are always much more DL friendly than sodding great single files... 🙂October 25, 2022 at 1:26 PM #1881645What Paul said. Mega folders are easy to deploy, and allow for multipart downloads with one point-payment. Gofile has that ability too, I think. Perhaps the author didn't know any better.

October 28, 2022 at 6:21 AM #1882722Really - What part of OPEN DISCUSSION - to benefit the entire user base is lost on you!

October 28, 2022 at 8:33 AM #1882757I was harsh, I'm sorry.
The point that I am trying to make is that this is not about me or them - it is about a general problem that requires a general remedy for the benefit of the entire community. My aim was simply to highlight that posting large numbers of huge files as a complete set is not really viable unless it is done in a Torrent. I thought my highlighting this problem would lead to the creation some sort of policy regarding this matter.
Again, please accept my apology - my little wobbly was uncalled for!
October 28, 2022 at 8:46 AM #1882762No worries. I agree with you. Improved uploading tutorials and standards would help the site.
I just think that, in general, we should loop the uploader in. Uploading is the lifeblood of this site, and we need to have respect for those who put the time in to do it -- even when we disagree with HOW they do it.
October 28, 2022 at 5:40 PM #1883029I come from a background where policy decisions are made and enforced by site administrators. The difficulty with approaching people directly regarding policy based matters is that one doesn't know what the standard policy is regarding a matter or whether a policy exists a all. One runs the risk of annoying the other person if they are already adhering to a standard policy - hence me posting here highlighting my concerns regarding the matter. I prefer to express my concerns openly in the forum in the hope that "the powers that be" see the concerns and do with it as they see fit.
It is not my place to tell others in this group what they should do or how they should do it - I am merely a little user from a hole in the wall country that recognized something that is problematic and that a possible policy amendment might be required if "the powers that be"
Beggars can't be choosers and of course one is happy to give and receive whatever the circumstance.
