By "this" I mean, when vendors state they're against piracy, and overall act like law abiding people who thinks piracy is somehow worse than the most heinous crimes ever, but then will either do the following...
A. Sign up to a piracy site (like this one we're all on now), and download assets from here, despite preaching about how pirates should be more respectful towards the vendors who take time out of their day sculpting or modelling the assets.
B. Sell copyrighted characters they don't even have the rights to.There are definitely more examples of hypocrisy, but I can't think of any rn lol (feel free to add some examples in your own replies if u want).
October 22, 2026 at 11:21 PM #2192630Annoyed? I think it's pathetic. There was a vendor here a couple of weeks ago bitching abut his tool being pirated. He obviously didn't realize that his history was available to everyone and when it was revealed that he'd been here for months both downloading and sharing items, he tried to say that it was ok for HIM to pirate stuff, but not for us to pirate his stuff.
Someone from here mentioned him by name in RenderHub's own forums where he then tried to say it wasn't him. I'm hoping it cost him a LOT of sales. I'm also pissed that RenderHub didn't ban him. Then again, RenderHub is pretty sleazy for all the pirated 3D assets it sells.
October 22, 2026 at 11:32 PM #2192632@supreme-leech I'm pretty sure I know who you're referring to! I offered 500 points for that tool in the request section. When someone tried to fill the request, the thread turned into a discussion about the tool's original creator being in the thread and mentioning those exact same things you said. And yeah, I agree with you, it is pathetic, especially to have a "rules for thee but not for me" mindset..
October 22, 2026 at 11:42 PM #2192633Wasn't it 'Laurendev'? I see he's got another tool in the request thread for reducing RAM usage. We should rub it in by putting all his tools in a single package and NOT letting him download them. Or...every time he downloads something it's that freebie smiling turd that was released years ago. I wonder how hard that would be to do?
