    Hello there!. I am looking for a "decimate" or "key reducer" script. MotionBuilder already has its own and it's quite harmful with its default value of "1". I've also tried mCasual's "DecimateEX" , and it's worse! Add more data to bones that are not used to each keyframe, reaching the case of a duf from 3Mb to 45Mb!!! 😀
    For Maya I only find this: https://github.com/robertjoosten/maya-keyframe-reduction
    , but I have to adapt it to Python3 for Maya2022...
    Not to mention Blender, which is totally incompatible with other software, even on fbx...
    Some clue?

    Could you say more clearly for what software?

    @hantu
    Anyone who accepts fbx or bvh.
    Normally, I use a Perl script to reduce decimal values like 2.34553334 to 2.34: That lightens the weight of a duf, for example. Converted to Win exe at
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/t8aocu5xmxh5u1q/reduf.exe/file
    Use within an isolated folder with the dufs to shrink (must be in ASCII, not compressed.) Together with my "minifier" (run before minifier..), it subtracts a duf size. I do not pass the dsf through the reduf.exe.
    But what I want is in fbx, since in MotionBuilder, I do the bake/plot, ALL the positions are a keyframe, not the originals of the source character... If I filter it with Mobu's "key reducing", it It alters too much, especially in the feet, creating "foot sliding"...
