They may be relevant to some. Let's step on Earth, get real, and look at our ass. Recently, I see a huge amount of useless stuff, be it from v4 or from unreal. I think we are old enough to have hair on our sex. I say this because of the maturity of being aware of the tastes of others. I believe that a policy of admission to the group should be adopted, with an original contribution each month, not a simple copy & paste of Skyback or others. And we would stop seeing nonsense in this appreciated blog.
If I have one complaint about V4 stuff being posted, it's that some of the recently posted models are product-linked to a dead site, and I don't get why anyone would even bother to add a link for a site that just isn't there anymore. That's just a minor gripe though because I think V4 still has a good bit of mileage left in her, so I wouldn't consider the products to be useless. As for the Unreal stuff, some of it looks really good. I only wish I knew what to do with it, or how to get it into Daz because I'd download that stuff in a heartbeat.
Oh me too, Eve. I get soooo tempted by the unreal stuff, but I just don't have the time to learn ANOTHER thing with all these tutorials piling up.
Why "on Earth" would anyone complain about Unreal Engine assets being posted here? Useless? It’s much more mainstream, not just on earth but, in the 3d universe than DAZ and this is a 3d site. I welcome it and hope to see more. Let’s "get real" and take our heads out of DAZ’s ass at least once in a while. I encourage people to look into it and support the people who generously share. As the great philosopher Ferris Bueller once said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
I have no issue with people posting V4 or Unity or Iclone or whatever other assets they want to share. It would be a nice QoL improvement to be able to filter some of it out, but it's not exactly hard to move your mouse wheel a couple of extra turns to scroll past the stuff you're not interested in...
Forcing people to share will kill this site quicker than you can say "Abad's having a bad day again."
It literally takes me seconds to scan the day's posts, and maybe a couple of minutes for the week. But, that's me. I realize new users might want to scan all pages and I maybe could see some difficulty, but there is a search function. However, I'm not against QoL improvements for such things if others want them. It does seem to seriously irritate some. I wouldn't use a filter because I occasionally find things that are useful to me. Soon some will be complaining about G3 and then G8. I don't expect gen4 posts will ever increase beyond what they already are, but inevitably something else will. If it ever gets to such a volume, perhaps it would be useful to me. I doubt it. It wasn't that long ago I was new here. It never even occurred to me to complain. I'm all for suggestions, but If someone hands me a dollar for nothing, I'm not gonna bitch. I'm going to say thank you. In the short time I've been here I've noticed changes. In the future I'm sure the site will continue to adapt as necessary.
It is a *pirate* site. Be smart. There is no honor among thieves. The minute we start to try and enforce someone's concept of *morality* here - is the minute this starts to fall apart.
If you feel ripped off by a link you "purchased" with the imaginary "points" they give you for logging in - blame yourself. I got ganked for 50 points recently - I get that back in half a day.
And it was a link I had checked out before and *knew* not to click, but I wasn't paying attention. It was totally *my* own fault. That guy won his 50 points.
Who’s talking about honor? I’m pretty sure they were speaking as a matter of convenience vs a “minor gripe.” Besides, I think you’re confusing honor with rules. I disagree with your premise, but honor or not, there are always rules. 🙂

Well... I posted the V3/V4+Textures Elven Strapped yesterday.
Just to clear the air, the model wearing the Elven Strapped is a G8F...
So what is that again about V4 being useless?
Some of the earl(ier) items look pretty good when updated with Iray/shaders. Yes, it takes a bit of effort... but whoever said art was easy?

Just for clarification:
A few years back there was a spamming glut of non Daz / Poser assets.
At that time I clarified with the site owner the intent of the site.
The main focus of this site is intended to be Daz / Poser assets.
I have not been made aware of any policy change on that.
Other base resources are allowed, but these are not the primary focus of the site.🙂
