Hello everyone,
Is it normal to find the zonegfx logo in the product thumbnails? I am for sharing, but not for some to appropriate the site to the work of the creators ? What do you think ?
I downloaded this product from a Korean site, but he must come from here, I haven't checked.May 11, 2021 at 9:52 AM #1691216That is NOT normal... the thumbnails have very little information on them to begin with, to splatter text on it, whether it is from here or not, is not normal, nor do we condone it. Same as we do not condone people tagging, mining or repackaging the installer files so they are no longer functional, if they came in DIM format (Daz) then they should remain in DIM format and contain the distribution files. Not be tampered with.
The only thing we accept is in your RAR packaging, you can include a text file outside of the installers, and a ZoneGFX logo image file, but not integrate it into the product.
You may ask MONK (monkseye) for a copy of the ZoneGFX png file.
Regards,

May 11, 2021 at 4:38 PM #1691406Ok, Thank you for your answers ... Personally, when I find a product that does not work in *Smart Content*, I re-edit it but use all of the creator's properties. I uniform all the products that I add in the library daz, thumbnails products 195X254, thumbnails files 256X256, logo material, logo genesis generation, link pdf if have, link product store daz and documentation center, and link tutorial if needed ... all this for my own visual and practical comfort. Have a nice days :).
May 11, 2021 at 10:32 PM #1691485I stumble across these ZoneGfx 'branded' .pngs occasionally. Just yesterday, Hameleon's 'Moods – Poses for Genesis 8' and 'Moods 2 – Poses for Genesis 8', for example.

The people who put the products online should reset the product to the original before sharing them. I have the impression that people upload products without verification *?*May 11, 2021 at 11:37 PM #1691498Imagine for a moment the limited number of people that actually upload to this popular site. Given the overall membership, it's a rather small proportion.
Now imagine placing additional restrictions requiring verification of every file within every folder in order to be permitted to upload to the site. Do you imagine that that uploading proportion would increase or decrease?
And what would be the ramifications of failing to do it properly? How would admins manage that? How would admins know whether or not the files were verified? Trust? Um...that's the system they already use. And mostly it works fine.

Of course admins can't check everything ... but people upload products, I dare to hope that they tested this one before ! Sorry, English is not my native language and google translate do not take into account all the nuances of my natal langage. Have nice days !May 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM #1691688The modification of thumbnails is just someone being an ass hole here. I have to fix this all the time on my files which is one of the reasons I stop downloading from here. I am sick of fixing shit that other mess up.

"The king"May 12, 2021 at 7:53 PM #1691796It's fine. It was only @ethiopia doing IN THE PAST what he thought was beneficial for the site. Mystery solved, you rascal.
As long as the important files work, nothing else matters.
DAZ3D, Renderotica, Renderosity, etc., have perfect flawless unadulterated files if it really bothers anyone that much. No? Free files are better? I thought so.
May 12, 2021 at 11:00 PM #1691827Hello everyone,
Personally, if I come across a product that does not conform to the original, I would modify it, report it to the person who uploaded it and put it back online with a note for the administrators *conform*. I trust the community for everyone to pay attention to this. Have a nice days and happy render !
May 12, 2021 at 11:05 PM #1691829And so the mystery continues...
May 14, 2021 at 11:25 AM #1692199Interesting. I had a pm for a file request I'd joined with the following text. I won't publish the sender (they'll know who they are and so will others who received it). Admin can pm me for the name if they don't already know:
This file has a hidden tag in it, so please dont share it on other sites or with other people.
Please dont be afraid, this file doesnt harm your computer so dont send paranoid PM’s again.
I have the know how on how to trace at user level but i dont whant to go that far, this tag is enough. How does this fare, considering site rules?
