I was curious if many of you have experienced personal losses or had Covid-19 and beat it?
I'd love for us to share our experiences (good or bad) so others realize it's not a hoax, a joke or created by some idiots out there. Here is how real it is for me:
Covid-19 has taken over 40 of my friends around the world and two family members (my Uncle and Aunt they cross-infected each other), and almost took my 17-year-old Son from me but he thankfully recovered in March/April without lung capacity damages. (He plays football (soccer) and wants to go professional).
This thing is terrifying, and many are not taking it seriously enough. It's really too late when someone in their immediate family suddenly gets it and within days is gone, cremated, and buried in a mass grave.
I hope everyone stays safe, distanced and healthy, and wears their masks, and washed their hands and disinfects everything they touch.
Together we'll get through this!
AnjaMay 17, 2020 at 6:21 PM #1602838I am a specialist in the gas and oil industry and I am considered an essential worker so I still have my job. No one that I know has died or has been infected (yet). Lucky for me since I drive a company truck home and to my work area, which covers a lot of square miles. I work alone and hardly come in contact with anyone, not even at the office. Please be careful since no one is safe until everyone is safe.

May 18, 2020 at 12:12 AM #1602898Had a friend, his wife, and her kid all get it. We're very anxious about my grandmother possibly getting it. Knock wood it's just everyone being afraid and a few people going on various forms of unemployment benefits because they're trying to not die or accidentally kill anyone else.
Other than that, I'm just going almost comedically overboard trying to observe all the social distancing and masks and everything else whenever I go out. Had to buy some lotion because my hands kept breaking out because I have been washing all the moisture out of them.
But allergy season is setting in and making me even more paranoid about it all.
Mostly I'm just happy I live with my partner because I know a fair few friends who have been going quite mad without even slight social physical contact with their fellow humans for a while, nevermind the social contact deficiency felt by my more extroverted friends.
The effects for me are mostly just increased anxiety (which I don't need), but compared to some stories I've heard and what AnjaBear's saying, I'll take being a little weirder and twitchier than usual.

Unless you meant that you were tested for Covid-19 in hospital and the results were negative, I highly doubt that you were classed as "immune".
Considering Covid-19 had not been present in a human host until the end of last year it's extremely unlikely for anyone to be "immune" to it.
Those who have had Covid-19 and have recovered can test positive due to the antibodies in their system but it's still not certain whether or not people are able to be reinfected.Factual information and context are very important at the current time.

I don't know anyone close to me who has been impacted, but I live in a very rural area where homes and people are very spread out and we don't have a lot of tourist-type folks coming and going in my town. I think many of the people in my area think it's a hoax mainly because it hasn't impacted us much (like only 10 cases in my town).
I hear younger folks in more dense cities like San Diego are not following the social distancing and still having parties in their apartments (they feel they are immune). This will just drag on and on until everyone cooperates.May 19, 2020 at 8:41 AM #1603161My eldest daughter lives in NYC and works for NYC Juvenile Corrections and was infected with COVID19. She was staff employee patient0 for that division. It took two and a half months for her to get better and be diagnosed Covid19 negative. During that time she also had a relapse and had to restart self isolation quarantine as advised by UrgentCare & Personal Doctor. What made it scary, she have an underlying condition Asthma.
She was diagnosed with MildCovid19 and parents in another country and she calls us. I could barely understand her because of shortness of breath and facetimed her. As parents it's frightening to see and hear your child fighting for air to breathe. So as a native and herbalist. I gave her the herbs to get with her grandaunt in Orlando traditional hot lemon tea (nosugar, fresh lemon every 10minutes) and power of prayer. The herb was Lobelia (stopped shortness of breath asap and help expel mucus). Then I had her purchase an ionizer(improves inside air quality and UVC-Light Sanitizer (biogerm fighter) for her place. She had lots of fruits, soups, liquids, veggies and made plenty smoothies to start. She tested 5 days ago she is clear, healthy and now just in time for her allergies to start. Have faith and know we will come through and get over this together. -
