I have gained 5,800 points since 24th March 2018 doing this.
I'm not doing it for the points as i have more than i could ever use.The first person to post (on this Thread) the answer to the following question

TonyJune 5, 2019 at 3:07 PM #1107230It doesn't upset me. You perform a valuable service.
June 5, 2019 at 3:58 PM #1107291hey 🙂 Thank you ...
June 5, 2019 at 4:09 PM #1107303Doesn't upset me either, you are doing a great work keeping this forum clean and simple, however, the only thing that upsets me is that when you do a "Report Link" thread my homepage goes crazy and i get spammed threads of yours, don't know why, seems like the site is bugged....ˢʰᵒᵘˡᵈ ᵇˡᵃᵐᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᵃᵈᵐᶦⁿˢ ⁿᵒᵗ ʸᵒᵘ 😉
Keep calm and carry on.
June 5, 2019 at 4:34 PM #1107323My issue was the fact that I was waiting for a message from someone, actually an important message not related to 3d at all, get on and I have a notification hoping it was the message I was waiting for, when it was just a tag from some random because I had posted a dupe. Like report away, go for it, but the tagging of the person so they get a notification is unnecessary. Mods see the link and they can get rid of it. That's all that needs to be done. The user's email gives them a notification if a thread is reported or removed, people don't need an email and a tag as well.
June 5, 2019 at 4:49 PM #1107340That's quite a lot of dupes slipping by tho for you to rack up 5800, I thought the point of the approval process/waiting period when submitting a post would be for @monkseye to check the posts and see if its already here. Why be a mod if you're only going to do half the job? If checking links to approve them isn't part of a mod's job, why have the approval process to begin with?
June 5, 2019 at 7:07 PM #1107486I think you're misunderstanding. I'm sure Monk approves some posts, but he's not a mod, he's an admin. There are other mods on here, AFAIK, that can allow posts. And some don't check as thouroughly, it seems.
Also, be aware that some of the dupes are actually the page fucking up, reposting items twice. Should still be caught, of course, but yeah.
And, for older assets, the descriptions don't always contain all the content, which means that you can, sometimes, post stuff that is contained in a bundle, without knowing it's in the bundle.
And, like me, forget that a specific name was spelled a specific way, and thereby reposting something that was already here (quite a while back, but it's possible). The ones that are straight up same-exact-name-2 (the 2 on the end) is mostly just people being too lazy to search, though.

July 1, 2019 at 4:23 PM #1144086It doesn't brother me that you report dupes. Your reporting of them help keep the database small and neat.
