SquishyFX (Version 3.28.4) – Real-Time Soft Body Made Simple

3.28.4

Bug-fix release (full QA pass: every operator driven headless on Blender 5.2 and 4.2, 29 cases, plus an independent code review).

Soft Bodies: Blender could crash (or the sync failed with "'ID' object has no attribute 'type'") when the Soft Bodies collection was deleted or when a body left it: the clean-up walked Blender's object list while it was deleting the hidden rest copies from it.
Soft Bodies: a duplicated soft body (Shift+D) shared the original's private collection, so one of the two collided with its own rest copy (measured: a body alone in the scene dented by 24-106 mm). Each body now owns its collection; older files are fixed on the next sync.
Soft Bodies: characters linked from another .blend lost their Mutual Contact stage and their rest copies on every file load. Linked data is now left as the library made it.
Soft Bodies: a collection that effects read as colliders is no longer offered (nor accepted by Add Selected) as the Soft Bodies collection; the meshes would have read themselves (dependency cycle, no contact).
Soft Bodies: Refresh now also re-copies the private mesh of a rest copy (rigs whose bones read a soft mesh), so repainted weights and sculpted shape keys are picked up. A change made just before a bake or a render is synced when it ends instead of being dropped.
Remove Selected (Soft Bodies), Combine Groups, Remove Effect, Save Preset and Use as Target no longer reuse the mesh of their previous call: Remove Selected could take out the last mesh removed with the stage's X instead of the selected one, and Combine Groups could merge into the previous mesh.
Merged mask names are measured in bytes: bone names with accents (Ñ, á) no longer create a new ".001" group on every merge.
