Old West Gatling Gun
The Gatling gun is one of the best known early rapid-fire weapons and a forerunner of the modern machine gun. It was invented by Richard Jordan Gatling, it is known for its use by the Union forces during the American Civil War in the 1860s, which was the first time it was employed in combat.
The Gatling gun's operation centered on a cyclic multi-barrel design which facilitated cooling and synchronized the firing and reloading sequence. Each barrel fired a single shot when it reached a certain point in the cycle, after which it ejected the spent cartridge, loaded a new round, and in the process, cooled down somewhat. This configuration allowed higher rates of fire to be achieved without the barrel overheating. Our model presents some of later designs, particularly 10-barreled model 1874, widely used in many western movies and stories.

Included are:

4 component figures: Gatling gun 1874, Broadwell Feed, Straight Feed, Tripod Stand, Wheel Carriage
2 multifigured presets: Gatling on Tripod, Gatling on Carriage
2 additional props: muzzle flash and ejected shells
25 material poses for various parts of the model (can be combined)
4 multi light presets (sunrise, day, sunset and night)
2 operator poses for either M4 and V4
