I'm currently taking a jab at Daz premier. Since my assets aren't updated I'm not sure what is supposed to work or what isn't. And what's actually part of premier and what isn't.

I don't have a sub at the moment so I lack the plugins to boot, which is the easiest way to test out. Looking for contributors.

A user with Premier should load Genesis 9, dial the morph, save the Head and Body separetely with a tool like Shape Splitter, and share that morph.

@ArmadeAnas that is inaccurate. If it is anything similar to HD morphs which are encrypted x-splitter and similar tools supposedly neglect the hd details. Even if you try to split they split the morph at base resolution and thus losing all of the details.

@polly Wow thanks a lot, yeah I think it's that one too. The hair thickness and consistency matches more than the other one. On that note, I thought Daz PA's were supposed to mention any products they used in their promo images that weren't their's, isn't that the case?

I wonder if it's this one perhaps.

dforce alexa hair for genesis 3 8 females 09 daz3d

Can't say for sure but it's as close a match as I could find even though I can see the differences. The frills, the hair is thinner in the Sara character promo image.

Will try them out but not a fan of these fast paced tutorials haha. I'm not that good at these softwares. Thanks though, will post the results soon.

EDIT: So my endeavour so far has been not so fruitful. I have seen plenty methods and things but they are usually for models created within blender itself, more or less. I am not sure whether they apply back to figures from Daz or not. I have 2 issues.

    1) Very little artifacts always remain on the normal. Particularly for the eye slits and nose holes.
    2) If I normally export with the default export settings for blender, the figure I have already has surfaces to it. So to fully make a full face map (including the face, ears, lips and mouth), I have to select those surfaces and add texture images to it, make it work on the same file. Resultant I have seen is face, lips and ears but no mouth at all. Not sure why it isn't there. There's one instance though where I get proper face map. When I export daz figure without the surfaces. I have to create a new material for the figure in blender, but that way somehow, only the face is the only part that turns into a normal map, but not the rest of the body. This way I had the mouth portion too on the maps.
So my issue is, how do I combine/link the different surfaces to have daz compatible maps?

Okay found the conflicting issue, not sure how to work around it so far other than not use it. The Easy Shape Master - Age control morphs are what's giving the issue. It controls so many various morphs that I got no idea if it's any particular morph that it changes or it's in entirety is what's causing that issue.

EDIT: Alright, I think I seem to have found the culprit. It's these morphs https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-body-morphs
Specifically, anything that changes the height for one, the hip translations/rotations also adds to the issue. Coupled with some of the propagating scales (chest scale). I could recreate the issue. Apparently, there was an issue with IK pins. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/218061/g8f-height-changing-body-morphs-break-ik-figure-jumps-up-or-down-when-moving-body-parts

I wonder if it's related to it, something similar maybe. It's fixed when I change some of the values which change the height of the figure (and the hip Y translation if it's used)

Here's an example of the issue. I've only applied the 3 morphs, Height, Legs Length and Torso Length, hip Y translation was changed by them only.

@pooper I can't see the update since I haven't purchased the product. One could check the Daz Documentation but apparently, they effed it up half a year or so ago. Now half of the pages for product documentation just reveal this message - "This is a placeholder for the product Read Me - this product has not yet been publicly released."

    @conkec1993
They indeed are. The issue only appears after you install the Victoria 8.1 package. Although neither the Vic8.1 package, nor the packages Richard mentioned on the thread (G8 Essentials, Default Daz resources and the Daz Studio 4.15+ package) have those files. The later 3 files are free so they should be updated for everyone. Someone said about updating the Genesis 8 Female expression pack, but it's a paid asset. Can't see the update for it, and the documentation page for it is effed up too. So idk what the deal is.

@pooper Yeah I played around them a lot. It looked quite good, especially the new improved skin shaders they have gotten for Victoria and Michael. Also noticed a couple fixes in G8.1 which they never (still didn't) fix in G8.
My only gripe was the loading times. Apparently I was a bit wrong in my assessment first. Perhaps I should remove some of the morphs and characters I don't need. Oh btw, Fit control had a new update for 8.1?

@conkec1993 Via DIM. But hmm, okay so those errors only pop up for 8.1 figure right. I checked the Victoria 8.1 package, it doesn't has those files within itself, neither did the Genesis 8 for Females Essential package did have those files within itself.
I didn't check the daz studio package, maybe it has them but idk if it doesn't. Do you have those files in your installation?

@hottehue wow, thanks alright. I see now, yeah that removed the logging. (And that makes the 8.0 expressions work, so the trick works) Although seems like the load up times remain the same. Then I guess, just the expression morphs are not the ones making the Female characters load up time so high, but all of the morphs present for Females.

Can't imagine there'd be a way to lower that down except removing some morphs then, right?

Edit: Also, got any idea which file does the files mentioned in the first post here? I can't seem to find them anywhere, even the 3 updated files that others mention to update/reinstall, G8 Essentials, Default Daz Resources and Daz 4.15+ doesn't resolve my issue. Or maybe if someone could just zip those files perhaps.

@conkec1993 Plenty enough, my daz library is about 400 gigs. From what I can gather from the log, 99.99% of the errors are based on the expression morphs. Even though the morphs are in place, and the morphs work fine on 8.0. On 8.1 they don't. In fact I noticed all the expressions that it can't find in the log are the ones that I can't apply to the 8.1 figure. Seems like the issue is with facial expression morphs (posing morphs), since the rest of the morphs are all working. Thought the 8.0 morphs worked on 8.1, but guess the limit only goes till the shaping morphs.

I guess that's 8.1 for you, no wonder there were separate expressions for 8.1 newly made. But since it's going to go about looking for all those missing morphs and slow down the character load up, that's not much good right now, imo, no?

    --SKIP THIS PART--
EDIT: Nope, not worth having. It's conflicting with a lot of base 8.0 characters too Bridget, Aubrey, Teen Jane, Teen robin to name a few (albeit the number of conflicts isn't too heavy, these are the character expression morphs that adjust the base expression morphs for that particular character). Then there's plenty of the 8.0 Expression morphs, from what I gathered it was conflicting with about 80 sets of morphs (by set, I mean the full packages, the number of total conflicts reached over 12k) It's cool for individual renders but besides that, it seems like a too much of bogging down. And I have a decent system too, 32 gigs of ram and a 1TB nvme SSD. Imagine peeps who would have lower specifications than this, if it's bogging this much on mine.
    --------------------
EDIT2: Alright, I just made a comparison using a timer. G8M loads for me in about 9s and G8F in 27s, the 8.1M loads in 10s and 8.1F in 28s. Seems like the the slow loadup is for the female characters only, guess plenty of expression morphs is the issue here. So the real question here now is, are the expression morphs worth keeping?

@conkec1993 What about the loading times and the scene startup, say if you had a large scene with 2 or 3 characters? I only noticed the log files, apparently 8.1 is looking for a helluva lot of morphs which 8.0 doesn't, both male and females. So idk what that's about. The log file which only gets to 5-10k for 8.0 turned to a 6 mb file after I loaded the 8.1 figures. Can try with victoria 8.1 too (I only used the dev figures)

    @nsprite78
A fair point, that's what I was wondering. A hell of a lot of stuff is buggy all the time for me. And I can't file bug reports since I don't own those products, and forum moderators can't help because they need bug reports (for them specifically), on -products that are available for all (basically, the free assets only)

Seems like no one else is too interested. Either way, I checked it out. This is what I found.
The vendor has applied a transparency mask/filter (applied in cutout opacity) to a surface, and then made that surface emissive. From there, he makes that surface turn into a point, enclosed by some object (the bulb of the lamp or tubelight), and makes a morph of that. Then, all you need is to dial that morph to turn the light on and off, when turned on, the surface is flattened out outside of its enclosure. When it's off, the surface turns into a dot and gets surrounded by an enclosed object trapping the light within itself.

    That's how the switch works.

EDIT: Trying to do the same in blender. My only problem is that there's no option to converge but just merge. Merging dissolves the vertices, edges and faces. And I thought it only merges them since there's already another option for dissolving. I could only find another workaround for this, smoothing the vertices. It works for spherical lookalike shapes, but for a tube that creates a line.
If your light is pretty thin in the first place, it doesn't get fully bound within itself. (Maybe I could but I couldn't find much)
Is there any other way to get the same effect?
Another thing that I had an issue with is morph loading. When I load the morph from the point when the vertices are smoothed out to when it's flattened out (aka, I load the version where the light is supposed to be off, from a point and then make a morph from the figure when it's on), the shape's somewhat distorted. Doing it in reverse, when it's from on to off gave a better result. I bet it wouldn't be an option if I could turn those vertices to a point itself.

Any help, calling out to all the pros over here.

EDIT2: Okay, It's far easier in Daz, to simply scale the object after relocating it's centre point a little so that it's within the object (to have it enclosed). My only issue with this is that surface emission direction just reverses/messes up altogether when I import a surface back this way.

Oh no, it's not a royal scene or like a carnival, but just a residential. But wait, the assets I mentioned don't fit the Venetian bill?

I needed to give the scene a sense of abandonment. Not particularly for a horror scene but fitting in the same sequence, it's a series of scenes, not just a couple. Hence on the lookout for a proper interior set.
