my mega account is also free..

... and the behavior is different (may be depends on file size?)

The last file of 96.3MB was started with 3 chunks of 12.6MB
then another 3 was added: 2 same by 12.6MB and one last 8.2MB

I have very slow ADSL connection (8Mb/0.5Mb) and i think that my ISP just drops packets that are over the limit.... Waiting for GPON in 2 month....

Hello Friends,

just spent some time to analyze the problem.

During the download process JS opens 5 connections to download 5 chunks of data 3.4MB each in parallel. If all chunks are downloaded successfully the process repeats. If one (or more) of the chunks was not downloaded completely during the timeout we see "Temporary Error, Retrying" and it starts all 5 chunks again (even good ones). There is no any resume on each chunk of the group. So that is the logic of mega.

The ideas to fix: try to limit number for parallel connection in browser (i use Chrome) from default (6 for Chrome) to 2... maybe it helps.

Any other ideas?
