Thanks @lapucelle, all the sponsors and the participants for hosting another super fun contest! Great showing and entries from all, I'm blown away by how far the ai art has come in such a short stint of time here. It's also good to see lots of traditional renders showcasing that the possibilities are limitless!

September 15, 2023 at 4:12 AM #2026206I took a 6 month hiatus and returned couple weeks ago to see how she was doing as she mentored me in a number of things and hone my proficiency in a number of features in DS. Was sad to see her and our chat history gone on discord. Hope she's okay!
September 15, 2023 at 3:40 AM #2026200This one definitely looks better than the original outputs. I think there's just something weird with the facial expressions and poses that doesn't sit quite right with me yet on some of these ai generated pieces. I think the issue has more to do with the inability to control the camera than the subjects themselves. There are certain poses that work real well with ai, namely mugshots and commercial/fashion type of poses. I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case because most reference pics are likely of modelling pics and advertisement/commercial content perhaps?
Really enjoy the evolution of your ai work @frank22.
September 15, 2023 at 3:32 AM #2026199This is a lovely render - the ambience and environment is breathtaking! Definitely for the far category!
September 15, 2023 at 3:26 AM #2026198@frank22 Just had to comment on this one. This is a beautiful ai piece. It has a huggable warmth radiating from it which I find is contrary to many ai generated art which often feels cold and/or too still. Really good job!
August 28, 2023 at 6:46 PM #2019232@Frank22 That is very cute indeed! Was the imgbox something you created with SD? And was it made solely with SD/prompts, or did you use a drawing to spin it off from?
August 28, 2023 at 12:01 AM #2018974@frank22 going to experiment with your suggestion.
@lapucelle thanks. And yes, the crab takes interest of her walking along the shore. I'll reword it a bit!August 26, 2023 at 1:17 PM #2018402@frank22 thank you! I'm working on another composition with her sitting but havingb difficulty getting the dress the drape properly with dforce (the sleeves are bunching up).
August 24, 2023 at 9:31 PM #2017870Very well thought out scene! The attention to detail on the positioning of the mirror of the makeup box pointing directly at her rack, lol!
August 24, 2023 at 9:29 PM #2017869@Frank22 Updated. Hope it doesn't look as much as a composite this time around. I think a big part of it also was the sea foam washing up on the shore looks weird in the original, I repositioned the beach and it looks a lot better now.
August 22, 2023 at 12:43 PM #2016939@Frank22 I used the glowing beach by polish for the all the scene elements except for the sky, the sky was dropped in because I wanted more gradient in it which I can't get with most hdris. Il also drop her an inch deeper into the water as I think her feet are too close to the surface which gives of the illusion that they whole send is a composite. I'll see what I can do to tweak it a bit more! And thanks! 🙂
August 22, 2023 at 2:47 AM #2016768Thanks folks! Worked in some updates provided by Ethiopia.
Downsized the crab.
Changed her hand pose with the flower.I also changed:
A bit more of an open smile.
Added the tropical palms in the backdrop as I was able to optimize the scene for a 4k render.
Added back a missing layer of the water as well so it doesn't look as flat as before.
Replaced scarf with choker.Hoping to add to this series.
August 19, 2023 at 12:19 PM #2015620@frank22 been a while! These two look great. Your SD skills have come a long way since when you first started! Only thing I'm noticing is this theme of high gloss and noise reduction on most SD outputs involving people/skin. Is there a way to reduce that and add back detail?
August 19, 2023 at 12:10 PM #2015612This is a nice render! Where's the water though?
