"Expiration of points? While I'm not here for the points, I do like having them on hand for when I want something. I don't think it'll incentivize anyone, and more likely to piss people off."
Absolute agreement!
February 1, 2018 at 2:25 PM #480505I guess I am late to the party but this is how I was getting around the download lock out problem. I feel for you Stiles, I didn't lose my entire collection but i lost a couple where it burned me at the time.
Whenever I spend points on the download link, I right click on the 'Download' link and copy URL link. I then open a text file and append an entry to it like this:
Product name: 'Some cool 3d item'
download URL-
*paste the url you copied from the previous step*SAVE TEXT FILE.
This way you have the download link for every item you download from here and can just copy and paste the url to your browser to retrieve a copy of the files. At least, until your file gets destroyed in the next hard drive catastrophe...
*knock on wood - hasn't happened to me yet in many years*Just keep running tab and maybe send it to your email every so often for backups. This running text file i have has saved me a couple times already.
January 2, 2018 at 2:52 PM #445756I ran into a problem after the huge Windows 10 update, my 2x GTX980 TIs were not recognized by DAZ Studio. Windows 10 update rolled back my OpenCl drivers so I had to reinstall the OpenCL driversfor my cards and CPU.
If you don't reinstall the drivers dForce complains that it can't see any OpenCL compliant cards attached when in fact I did. Anyway, problem is solved after reloading v1.2 OpenCL drivers...
As for the DAZ Studio not loading up someone mentioned to me that they reloaded their Nvidia drivers and it worked for them later.
October 4, 2017 at 1:43 PM #351864I am in the same boat as M3RK
I am cranking out some commissions right now before Halloween but depending on the complexity of the rigging I could do it. If you Need it now, I would search youtube on using the transfer utility to rig your items that you have modeled/modified in the 3d modeler of choice.

I think people are very interested in items that are 'legacy' in nature and brought forward to G3 and up. I don't know if there is a V4 clone for G8F so that would mean taking a V4's obj file and fitting it around G8F then re-rigging it for G8F in the modeler of your choice.Since high heel shoes get mangled in the auto-fit stages between characters I often have to take the shoe made for the V4 version and re rig it for the new character. It gets mileage from those oldies-but-goodies.
I have been seeing people poo-pooing the older content and I would call them newbs because they can't get it in their heads that it's all just mesh and can be remade for the newer models, which will in turn become 'old' one day too.
I think brand new content made just for ZGFX would be awesome and would justify being purchased with points for the time put in by the content maker...
October 3, 2017 at 8:30 PM #351144I've posted 'original' items on here. Basically items made for V4 that are re-rigged to fit Genesis 1+ generation figures. I have a few items on sharecg i made but I have kept them separate from this venue until rules can be established...

January 9, 2017 at 7:34 AM #121080@hunter,
Would you please allow me permissions for editing my own post as well? I can handle WP/PHP code. I'm a software developer by trade - which means I won't muck things up - it just means I can REALLY muck things up-
just kidding 😉But I could really use the permissions to fix my posts easily...
Thank you!
