    Just curious as to which vendors/PA's are your favourites?

    Personally, for characters I like Vykthor1a, M0uss0, CynderBlu3, C0lm J^ckson, iS0urc3Textures, M!ddelirium, C0l0r Galer1a

    For creatures/monsters it has to be J0sh Cr0ck3tt.
    Toon characters; L^dy Littlef0x.
    Animals; A M
    Environments/Props J^ck T0malin, Ston3mason, FG, Fav3ral, G CD, D _M and so many more that I can't think of right now.
    Accessories; The R0w H0use3, F^biana.
    Hair; Apr1l YS H, L1nday, Neft1s3D, O O T.

    Clothes; Lu lly.

    Plenty of others that don't come to mind right now. 🙂

    SUGGESTION:

    You folks do realize when you list every PA's nickname in any of the forums - it gets indexed on Google and if they look up their names in Google -- It will proudly display ZoneGFX and show them where their stuff is being Pirated. We normally NEVER list the names of the Vendors in the shares for this exact reason. The reason all the RenderHub stuff is disappearing immediately is because you guys have happily listed the names of the vendors you want stuff from including listing the RenderHub links without using the "LINK" tag which hides the locations in Anomize so Google cannot index them.

    EVERY Time someone actually posts the name of a VENDOR from ANY SITE, be it DAZ/Rendo/Rosity/RHub or anywhere, they get indexed, and GOOGLE NEVER FORGETS.

    There is no problem with talking about your favorite vendors -- just stick a strange character in the name to break it from what it truly is.

    Like St0neMason (the O is a zero)

    Like when we want to hide the word "P O R N" and we write "Pr0n" your eyes will read it the right way, but Google won't read it that way at all.

    Understood?

    Cheers,
    AnjaBear

    @AnjaBear Wow! I didn't think of that... Really, really sorry... I had no idea.. seeing as many in the request section name the vendors. For example; someone will post something like: ''Requesting *insert vendor name* products'' in the topic title, so I had no idea you couldn't do that. Again; my apologies.

    NB I edited the post.

    @reinecarola No worries! I generalized my answer for everyone to read since it has been a huge thing the past month or two as vendors from RenderBub have sent attack dogs at our site although we aren't the only ones asking for stuff, and we do not host any of their stuff here.

    Aside of ZoneGFX there are at least 50 other GFX type sites hosting their files, some are actually selling them to their users.

    But as I said, and you have noticed, users literally ask for every product stating the Vendor name and linking those Vendors to the requests with their store catalog pages. Google indexes our forums and I've made the Admins aware but they don't wish to stop Google from indexing us or those who would be our community wouldn't find us.

    Thanks for fixing your post, the way you did it was just perfect.

    Cheers,
    AnjaBear

    About Google indexing vendor names, wouldn't the same apply to the product names themselves? When I Google a product by name a heap of sharing sites pop up on Google and they're often listed before the legit one. Should we also be disguising the names of the products on the blog?

    @frank22 It's the same for me. Nine times out of ten when I search a product name, the first three or more results returned are from share sites. Though I'm not naming names; those same sites are the very ones that either operate as a pyramid type operation (I actually heard; though I'm not certain that it is a fact, that most are run by the same person) or leech items from here, upload them to their own sites, then make it difficult for their members to download the items, as unless you purchase premium from the hosting site, you're stuck with a super slow download of two or more hours. Before I found this site, I used to use one of these and it frustrated me no end.

    @ethiopia
    I've noticed the same; that those who aspire to be major players in the industry, but haven't come anywhere close to having the success of the bigger companies/artists are always the ones who make the most noise and are constantly on the lookout for art theft/copyright infringement/piracy.

    @anjabear
    Should we change the manner in which we request items?

    To be totally honest, I almost never buy something unless I get it from a place like here first. I have probably spent $50k or more over the last 27 years of rendering, going back to 1995 when Poser was initially released by Fractal Design, on product as I am a firm believer in "try before you buy." Used to be torrents and newsgroups now places like this. If I don't have a way to try out a product first, I am not dropping money on it.
