I got this idea in an answer to another post.
There is a lot of unease about the point system at the moment.
So this might be a halfway solution for now.

XMAS GOODIE BAG
(IF possible for the Admins) there is a temporary category in the post section.
We al get at least one item from one of the vendors, be it cheap or not, and post it in that category.

All items will come available 25th of december, maybe at a reduced cost, say 25 points.
Depending on the rating one has the site give every poster a bonus, the lower your rank, the higher the bonus.

This might increase the amount of new items uploaded, and give the newcomers a change to earn at least an amount off points to start them off with.
Maybe people will then see that sharing works.

I bet theyll be more people interested in contests now. They should run a Christmas contest.

The Xmas goody bag was a regular feature pre-Covid.
A huge bag of items for those that participated. i think Monk ran the offer [?].

Everyone that sent a link for an item was, on 25th [or Xmas day - whichever comes first] sent a Mega link for the entire collection. DL the lot or pick and choose at will.

I think it was free for everyone to get at xmass and a lot of ppl were donating gifts but then some "members" were taking the stuff and posting them for points once they were available. 🙁
