I really don't concern myself with erotic sites simply because there's only so many torture machines I can scroll past to get to the one useful item they might have in the library, that I just avoid them out of sheer exhaustion. That really cool leather outfit will just have to stay where it is.

I've been here a long time. So has Ethiopia (with a couple of self-exiles he's thrown in over the years). He's good people and I have no problem with him. I'm offering advice to him as an internet buddy, not judging him or taking his opinions personally. What he (or you) think about something other than 3d modeling is not important to me in the least.
And Josie's tried to be helpful in her posts (at least on this thread). I appreciate that. I'm cool with her too.
I just come here to exchange 3d assets, not engage in politics or other divisive, heavy issues. You should chill. There are thousands of sites where we can go to argue (if that's what one wants to do). I have zero desire to do that here. In the end, zero minds are changed and has no positive impact on the site.

@barc - Not saying you are or aren't, and you seem like a good sort, unlike some people in here who are trying to cause division on purpose.
And no I am not doing such as that, only stating truth, but to some, they think it's "HATE SPEECH" when in fact it isn't.
But I'm done wasting my energy in here. There are a few in here I classify as fellow brothers and sisters in arms, but some I won't even waste my time engaging with cause they choose to be this way...
ethiopia is the official grumpy old man here at the zone. Hunter should give him that title in his profile, for it is well earned. We sick him on the occasional ne're-do-wells who violate the basic decencies of our happy place
I really don't like politics. I've definitely grown more apathetic about that avenue of doing anything. It's probably much more fruitful to build the things we want, to "be the change you want to see" so to speak, instead of handing it off to some politician who is just going to mishandle it or get everything wrong because they're tone deaf. I think most of them have outlived their usefulness to anyone but themselves. Occaisionally they get something right, but more often than not, we're left holding the bag while the courts sort things out which can take years to undo whatever they messed up on. It's frankly tiring. Sometimes I just want the asteroid to come already, but I know they want to try making that happen too. The world is already full of too many meddling people who want to stick their fingers in all my casseroles when they could just as easily make their own casseroles and stop ruining mine. So that's the state of the world we live in. It's between the people who just want to enjoy their lives and be left alone to do that, and people who think they have the right to barge in everywhere for "job security". I mean, can't they just collect a freaking paycheck and not do anything? They literally do the meme where they're "arbitrarily turning knobs making it seem like [they]'re doing something'. It's so dumb I'd cry if I didn't find ways to laugh.😂
Anyway, I have to get back to my model searches so I can assemble about 180 GB worth of assets into a fan project.
Just an fyi that I've bumped my offers back down. Don't want anyone getting bent out of shape if they happen to fill something and my points aren't the same as what I put in the first post.

I don't know if I've mentioned this recently but you might remember that completely unscientific study I did a year (or more ago) of requests. I watched the request forum for a couple of months and found that the amount of points had little to do with whether or not a request was filled. I also found that if a request wasn't filled within three days, it was unlikely to ever be filled. We debated the possible reasons for this here, but couldn't come up with a logical reason for this.
And thanks for the nice mention @ulysses, It's been quiet here for a long time so I've been able to get other stuff done. 🙂I think a lot of it has to do with what is fresh & current in a members mind when they see a request for an item that they have, & how they view the offers made.
I don't think a lot of folk buy an item to specifically fill a request these days as prices are generally fairly high, & folk do not have the disposable income.
@eelgoo, I'd talked to maybe two people here who said that they did that, but I was dubious. When points are free and can build up quickly, why would anyone spend the real stuff just to get some pretend currency that's worthless outside the site? The consensus was that folks bought what they would have bought anyway and filled the request. There was also a few people who where harvesting the fills for....oops, I'd better not go there lest I get banned...again 😉
I've added a pile of points (at least 5K, why be cheap?) to a couple of items I saw but after a few days I withdrew them. I kept my eye on them and they where never filled. I'd bought the items anyway. I mostly never check the requests anymore.
I'll Second or Fifth the Thread on Adult Creators who've had to jump from 'Hub, with ay warnings that might seem right....

Quite right.
The only exception that I had to this was when I 1st found the site [following the demise of KAT..... 🙁 ] -- way back in time..
Then it was a case of not much to post but so much to choose from [kid meets candy store - kid being way off in the description].Since then only bought occasionally as a site support gesture, and have built so many points as to [almost] never offer minimum for requests.
Hats off to the creators and administrators of this site for smartly coming up with a way to trade 3D assets.
Friends, thanks to these fine folks, this is essentially a Monopoly-style hangout and pastime.
Sure, the in-game currency might be worthless outside this realm, but I'm deeply grateful to those who add real excitement to this fun by spending actual money—even if it doesn't always fulfill my real-life requests and is merely a pleasant illusion, much like being in GTA.
However, aside from the game itself, what really stands out is the togetherness. The conversations that spark here come in all shapes and sizes, and they are incredibly valuable—and surprisingly useful, even outside the game.
