Bunkr is apparently a massive porn site. I like erotica as much as the next person, but I REALLY don't want to see graphic porn while I'm trying to find a download link. (Yes, there is a neat difference between erotica and porn.)
June 9, 2024 at 4:17 am #2078868There are a very limited number of file hosts where links aren't taken down. You could always try a pair of these.
June 9, 2024 at 5:01 am #2078871Mega and Mediafire seem pretty reliable. Except last time I attempted to upload something to this site, neither of those were an option for some reason.

June 9, 2024 at 5:18 am #2078874Well it looks like Mega is working OK for me. Four shares I made yesterday and today went through with no issues.

Seems like you answered your own question
June 9, 2024 at 8:37 am #2078893Bloody hell, Mega is now playing up for me ATM for downloads.
June 9, 2024 at 10:33 am #2078907@kayma Bunkr is the best DMCA proof file host atm. If you don't want to see the NSFW ads there, you can either use uBlock Origin (if you still see some of the ads, you can manually add those frames easy-peasy) or use JDownloader 2 Download Manager, and just copy-paste the download link in it without visiting Bunkr.
+1 Mega, Mediafire, and GDrive will basically remove your files or deactivate your shared links without any background check if your link gets reported.
June 9, 2024 at 12:18 pm #2078911@kayma, I'd like to throw this back at you and ask why, in this day and age of rampant tracking, virulent ads, and all manner of sleazy and underhanded ways to make money off your browsing history, are you still using an unsafe browser with no tracking/ad-pop-up blockers? Why aren't you using a good VPN?
Read this every few days....https://torrentfreak.com/
Learn about the various browsers and how to enable and install the various tools that block all this crap. This is a pirate site....what we do is illegal so of course we have to use less-than-scrupulous file hosts. Bunkr is stable (mostly) but full of crap. Learn how to avoid it.I use the FireFox browser with every shit-blocker known to humankind installed. For some sites I use the Brave browser, and some of my traffic is routed through NordVPN. I also still use Opera for some stuff and keep the PaleMoon browser running in the background as it's bookmark tools are easily the best and most intuitive I've ever found. I use a few instances of FireFox running at the same time with different profiles so that I can keep my 'nice' stuff completely separate from my sleazy, creepy, weird, messed-up, strange, bizarre and just plain sick-n-twisted shit. 😉
June 9, 2024 at 7:03 pm #2078935I tried using a VPN for awhile, but it really screwed me when trying to use Discord and sign up for certain websites. I now use the Duck Duck Go browser which is GREAT at preventing tracking, but I'm not sure how to use it to prevent undesired content from displaying.
June 10, 2024 at 2:47 pm #2079043I use Firefox Developer with uBlock, Privacy Badger and DDG privacy Essentials. I run Mullvad VPN. I have zero issues with Bunkr or any other site.
If you are adverse to images that get through in spite of all that, there's always the ImageBlock addon, which you can toggle on and off.
And, yes, more and more (especially social media) sites want to 'know who you are' and guard against bots, so they detect vpn use. I've found you can change servers until you find one among your vpn locations that they haven't listed yet. In this day and age, I wouldn't get online without a *trusted* vpn - see r/piracy, read the megathread.
June 11, 2024 at 4:56 am #2079078vpn/adblock/tracker blocking should be standard issue opsec for basic use of the internet, much less for piracy. Don't let laziness let you slip up or your swashbuckling career will be a short one.
June 13, 2024 at 2:15 am #2079301In my experience here, Mega and Mediafire often have files from posts here taken down in 24-48 hours, so its almost pointless to use them.
June 13, 2024 at 3:14 am #2079314I assume that if you have loads of files on a host, and lots of traffic, it might make you more open to "investigation" by them. This apart and additional to the usual take-down (DCMA) requests by IP owners.
I still think that there should be a waiting period of say 2 weeks for the PAs to make sales before we share here. Not really "Donations to Creators" but it would help them a lot as most of their sales would be in the first 1-2 weeks.June 13, 2024 at 10:04 am #2079346Ya, we hashed this out before and the consensus was, as you mentioned @frank22, wait a few weeks before posting anything new. Unfortunately some people are desperate for points or want to look like a BIG player so they post items as soon as they're released. I've asked Hunter and Monk to codify the policy of NOT sharing items from the small independent stores like 3D Shards and now Summoner; Hunter has agreed. We should officialize(sp?) the timed release of new items.
