I would love to have a 49" but they are just above ,y budget. Already have a 32" 4K tv as monitor, so it has to be bigger then...

I'm thinking about getting 32 inch monitor sometime next year. Depends on your needs and what resolution you want. I'm happy at the moment with my 24 inch monitor.

Don't know where you're at, but I do know that both Walmart and even Target have great deals right now on TVs. I got a 42" Element a couple of years ago for about $200

I have an Alienware 28 inch... and it is really nice. I wish it were 32 inch, but it was bit too pricey. Probably Black Friday will have all kinds of sales at Dell.. (this is available in Europe right?l) Not familiar with other places except Amazon, maybe Tiger Direct? But just search for "best monitors under $1000" and you should get some ideas... 🙂

I wish I had one of those really wide monitors, or at least a three monitor set up like I see the gamers use!

Anyway, good luck with finding what you want. 🙂

Late, but this is the one I got on sale back in July and have zero issues with it so far.

I think optimum size really depends on the ergonomics of its use.

I am sat about 2 foot away from the screen, which is a 27" Iiyama
It has never given me eye strain.
When I first bought it a few years back, I felt it was almost too wide for the application, but I have got used to it.

I might go for 32" next time I replace, but I don't feel the need for it currently.

    🙂

The misses was away for a holiday, so I hijacked the 43" tv..
Had to extend the desk a bit, but I love it. Learning Zbrush, and having instructionvids next to the prog, and it it still at a proper size to follow all the actions, and I have enough space to ( try 🙂 ) and copy what I see.
Had a prob off course, no TV in the living room.....
So got a 50 something inch tv , I was gonna spend it on a monitor anyway, so I think I got the best off both worlds
