I watched a few episodes Luca. It's OK for a comedy series but I liked the Addams Family films better.
Most of the dialogue is one-liners and Wednesday is nowhere near as creepy as Bad Seed Rhoda. As far as acting acumen is concerned, 11 year old Patty McCormack wiped the floor with the rest of the cast chewing the scenery, and dare I say anything Jenna Ortega has produced to date.The series Wednesday and films of the Adams family are 2 pairs of shoes. I am an Adams fan myself and I know all the sarcasm in the original Adams movies. You won't find that back in Wednesday.
Wednesday series is sweet as sugar. And that's what I like. I don't compare Adams family and Wednesday with each other.
Wednesday got older and separated from her family and that's how they built up this new series. New times and old times meet here. And they have done that in a great way. I am looking forward to see the second season. Jenna played her role damn good. I don't know her from other series. I have only seen one movie where she played well.
Imagine @frank22 , an old Adams family relaunched. I don't think I like the new one any better. Adams is still Adams and no one can change that. Thankfully, our tastes are not always the same.Nice to see they are getting another season. I just hope that Tim Burton is still attached and that they give him and the crew time to create the ideal second season. Some shows go to shit because they rush things..
I myself enjoyed the first season but it came across as some weird gothic Nancy Drew book/movie. Mystery and intrigue are all good but I never really thought of Wednesday as a teeny detective trying to uncover a plot to a schools disappearances and deaths.
But it is what it is and I can't say I found anything boring or outside the realm of logic (within the Addams Family universe).
And again, this render looks like a work of true passion, and that is what I came to comment on.
