Apparently this exists, the ability to take a beginning frame and an ending frame, feed it to the AI software, and it will "fill the blanks" so to speak, by generating the missing frames to create simple animation. It's called inbetweening or tweening. Daz does similar, except it takes an eternity to render each frame it generates.

So, anyone know of any software to handle this with importing PNG files? Ideally i'd like to create a beginning and end frame in DAZ, render those 2, then import into "something else" to spit out the missing frames to create animation.

    Any ideas?

I was also looking for such software a year ago. I found a couple of professional software for anime, but they are in Japanese and there are no "free" versions on the Internet. I also tried DAINAPP FPS. This application increases the frame rate by rendering using AI. But it seemed to me that the video sequence was spoiling and getting a little blurred.

Thanks for the replies. So based on the responses, it seems that the tweening software would *possibly* take much longer to accomplish than if I had just rendered it all in DAZ.
I really would only need it to create a few frames in between a handful of keyframes that I would generate in DAZ. The quality can definitely be "more blurry" on the generated frames, because it should resemble motion, and real video does have blurry frames during motion.

Most of the affordable software that does what you described can only do 1 or 2 frames in between each frame. So its not like you can have two images and have an AI compute movement between them over a few dozen frames without a complex AI that was trained with thousands of hours of video input.

The closest examples you can see readily available on a "consumer" level is DLSS 3.X with Nvidia that has the ability to generate frames in between the rendered frames. Another is the software to convert regular video into slow motion video by adding 1 or 2 frames between each actual frame.

I guess i'll have to wait a few years. It will definitely be a very cool thing once it has developed.
