Curious as to what this is? A program like Studio, Poser? Where can I find the download? Thanks!

It's a game development engine made by epic games. You can get it for free from them, but it doesn't function like studio, it's a completely separate thing. Some people can use it for animations etc. but it's more of a game programming thing.

I *genuinely* don't know why so much of its stuff gets posted here. Completely different skillsets to use tbh.

Maybe the folks from F95 are looking for an easier place to distribute stuff. I'm all for that.

The truth be told, Unreal or Unity assets make no sense to make good renders or good animations. They are low resolution (in fbx optimized for games...) Converting fbx into something "decent" is arduous, and the animations need a retarget for 454888887 minimal mechanical movements... A very distant for users in Daz, Poser, 3d Max, Maya, etc...
    A waste of time...
    (Yawn...)

    Yeah that's what I thought...
    Thanks!

Personally, as someone who is interested in both DAZ and Unreal, I'm delighted to see UE stuff posted here.

@fleshkage , Each person has his own criteria to use the tools that are useful in his work, thinking, or research: Accumulating "junk" (in the good sense of the word...), does nothing but hinder the smooth running of a software, overload CPU, GPU, external hard disks, and, worst of all, not knowing "where are the panties that have those little laces of such color..." ( 😀 ) In the end, it becomes like the cabin of the Marx Brothers, and you waste more time searching than working.
I have tried both Unreal and Unity, and, personally, I am not interested in the world of video games, which does not mean that they are bad, but a discipline far away from a high percentile of members (I think...) of ZoneGFX...
In my real job, I am an industrial designer, and I don't even think of posting about a plugin for Solidworks, nor formulas for Wolfram Mathematica, nor scientific sofwtare, which I use every day...
My use of Daz is minimal: I'm interested in models of people with physical deficiencies (I make prosthesis, auxiliary complements for sick people, safety elements for construction workers, and that kind of things...) No pretty renders, but technical ones with animation of the final user with my objects, so that the client "sees" how it is used.
The truth is that I recognize myself as a "rara avis" here. 😀
I'm interested in programming, gutting code, solving small problems that I notice in Daz as his scripts (although I use Python generally...), and try to help beginners with my knowledge of applied physics. (Many questions I ask in this section remain unanswered: I am used to this silence. I have computers since I was 12 years old, and with already 56 years old, I know them as my face...)
Maybe, what I notice is that a novice is afraid to use Maya (Because it's complicated...) I find Blender more complicated! 😀
The important thing is not the tool, but knowing how to use it 100%, and preserving the origin of ZoneGFX so it doesn't end up as a typical warez site.
And, yes, sometimes I make silly videos for fun. It's an escape to trigonometry and accuracy, necessary to not end up in an insane asylum. (I'm convinced I'll end up there: My wife doesn't even ask me what I'm doing. It would take me hours to explain...) 😀

Has anyone tried to convert some unreal character to Genesis 8 or genesis 9?

Would love to see some UE stuff posted here myself (and more Blender stuff to eventually import into it). Unfortunately, I keep getting 0xc000007b errors when trying to start the Epic Games Installer to use/get UE5.

For game dev, this is one of the main engines used (personally, I'm trying my hand at VR game dev). They also use Unity, but recently they've kicked themselves in the arse.

If you'd still like to try it, OP, you can get the download here:

Some of the unReal architecture is amazingly-spectacularistically-fantastical and I'd kill (....ok, maybe just slap) to get some of it into Studio. Being somewhat low resolution is an advantage because that means it loads fast and doesn't drag down the computer. I'd want it just for backgrounds anyway. My limited efforts to export some of them have met with frustration.

As response to the post, where was asked why so much of it is here or who would use it. I love Unreal Stuff and have picked up every piece there is here for it and using this thread to say thank you to whoever posts here some of the stuff.

There is actually a MASSIVE crossover between Daz3D and Unreal. You've only got to take a look at their assets stores to see that there are artists who release for both. Daz's bridge makes it even easier to port everything over too. I for one rarely use Daz Studio any more, using it only as a library for Unreal Engine.
