@bebe thanks! The scene fits very well, and the kitbash ride, couldn’t even tell! One slick wheels you have there!
@kefka that’s an amazing composition! Lots going on (wouldn’t expect less from you), and details to match! How’d you get the 6 arms and the clothes to fit thru? Is that a mod to one of the genesis figures or a complete custom one???January 22, 2023 at 6:29 am #1916736Not sure how well this fits the template but if even if it doesn't it's one of the few Male renders, I'll do this year.
Smokin Cowboy
January 22, 2023 at 3:07 pm #1916903My 2nd entry for the male competition, and my 4th overall. I should probably stop, it's getting quite hot in here. This one's called Breakfast.
January 22, 2023 at 6:58 pm #1917007@bebe That kitbashed motorcycle is sexy asf. The lady next to her is pretty lovely too.
@diviniren All I did was duplicate the body x 2 and hide all parts but arms, shirt x 1 and geometry edit out the parts I didn't need, after I knew the camera placement so nothing was clipping or w/e. The hardest part of the whole posing part was the damn telephone wire. I used a Sickleyield product but everytime I tried to pull the cord around using the activepose tool, it would crash daz. And everytime I tried to use the dforce option included in the product the cord would unravel. So there was a lot of manual maneuvering using a few bones at a time.At first I was grabbing 40/50's 3d appliances off random sites. Which in itself was difficult because I wasn't even born yet (Nor for that matter was my dad). So I had to keep looking at reference material. Then I found this: https://zonegfx.com/retro-apartment-repost/
So in the end I only used the vacuum base, iron and ironing board from outside sources. Though other 'daz' 3d objects from various products were used. Knitting stuff/vacuum hose/blah blah blah...
Lots going on (wouldn’t expect less from you)
You must be thinking of Luca. 😀 I like to keep my scenes fairly simple with some crazy dforce stuff that defies what people would normally try (because it's a headache!
@d0gg0d Datta boy. stave off your inner homophobias. 😉 😉 😉
@littleevie Another dark render and I love it. Break the cycle! I see you branded your man letting everyone know HE BELONGS to YOU. Great render!January 22, 2023 at 7:14 pm #1917010I went for a surreal theme...

Welcome - the buns may be dry, and the burger a little burnt, even the coffee is a touch bitter. But then who comes here for the food anyway?

Full Size UHD here (Edit: updated/corrected)Not strictly a pinup-only submission (like others, a full scene as compared to a stripped down portrait-only idea); felt it fits the theme, and the community.
(Inspired by a Rolf Armstrong idea.)
Enjoy the treasure hunting. 😉Cheers

January 24, 2023 at 12:05 am #1917570Number two.. Like I said this style of render is not my usual stuff.. but hey..
"Rosie the Wrencher- keeps 'em flying"
January 24, 2023 at 12:34 am #1917579@kefka not sure how you spawned the additional arms, are you saying the one figure is actually 3 figures but with 2 of them most of their body parts hidden? Either way, doesn’t sound like it’s easy to do!
@Freemoebius2000 yah for space saucers and lasers! Great render!
@D0gg0d very good composition. I like the overall exposure, looks almost photorealistic!
@Littleevie that’s fire, and one hell of a look! Maybe swap that apple with a donut or a lemon 😉
@Belarobert trippy and psychedelic!
@Fuzzy3000 that’s one hot, bootylicious angle. Love the diner theme and the prop setup/arrangement.
@spats love the pirate take! I see you’ve decided between the two texture sets, great choice - love freckles and the feet detail. For the wet effect, is that a shell or is that playing around with surface settings on the materials?
@Redones awesome to see you join the sci-fi theme! Great shot and love the colors on her outfit! Ps. You can embed the image in your post using the img tag. I’m worried people might miss it.
@Bebe great, wartime classic composition! Love the neutral tone. One suggestion, maybe turn the wrench 45 degrees because I mistakened it for a stapler.Love seeing all these entries and all the different styles and perspectives. Lots of talent here!
January 24, 2023 at 12:44 am #1917580Absolutely loving these new entries. Holy smokes @Spats that render is to die for, such a crisp and clean render with gorgeous lighting! Loving those legs in @Fuzzy3000's work too. Same for Redones and Bebe's work.
I'll have my own entry ready in a day or so. Lots of fine tuning and
January 24, 2023 at 2:00 am #1917587Thanks diviniren for pointing that out about the wrench. Also noticed I rendered at the wrong resolution, so updated the image to correct both
January 24, 2023 at 2:56 am #1917596Thanks @diviniren, @goblyn. Skin MAT/detail (and pose) is slightly different than previous incarnations. Wet look is dialed up on base MAT, not geoshell this time. (Often use shells to get wet droplets, esp detail. But intended more even, undefined on this. Took some settings past normal for the occasion/circumstance of the beach scene. Originally looked over the top, but backing off left too flat for consistency and the feeling, so cranked it back up in places to get the eye-catch back. Thought of Elvgren and Petty with all their highlights. 3D art is supposed to be slightly caricature-ish anyway, right?)
@goblyn Yeah, a little too crisp/clean, sometimes. It works with the DOF balancing it out this time, but might be consulting a couple ppl in here for some film-grain or other non-post effects pointers. ( @redones Particularly like the noise in your Pin Up. Nice balance without losing subject clarity. If that was done only with DOF that's a nice touch.)(Also @adelasia always has exquisite film-ish tones and balancing.)Really great entries in here. Loving the creativity and the moods and feelings in each and every submission. Awesome work.
Question: Speaking of. Where is / what happened to @adelasia 's awesome entry/post? Day or two ago noticed was missing and all the posts shifted up by one? Needs to still be part of the running, IMHO. Hope everything's ok.
January 24, 2023 at 4:11 am #1917614Finished ahead of schedule.
I wanted to keep with the spirit of classic 50's pinup girl art, by keeping the scene simplistic, but instead of going for an acrylic painting look (I was going to use a filter) I just went with something more realistic, and chose Genesis 9 for the dirty work.
And then I gasped when I noticed Freemobius had chosen the exact same flying saucer for his render lol
Anyways, here she is...
