I know that the 3D world of Daz, Renderosity and Renderotica is nothing but breast centric and people seem to only share female stuff and only a few of us buy and share the male products. So I was thinking since you know I more or less buy everything male or have in the past, that if you do like MALE figures and want to collect MALE products for Genesis 2 Male, Genesis 3 Male and Genesis 8 Male, or products which will work on the males, lets join forces to fill our collections.

Feel free to message me and add me as a friend here at Zone, we can maybe fill the site with more male stuff too.

Look forward to meeting some of you!

@tedthelearner cool! you don't need to share stuff (yet) but you can also friend me and shout out stuff you are looking for and maybe I might have it. I try to collect male stuff, wish for more of it. But they make so many female outfits and female figures compared to around 1/3 the amount of male stuff. But just cannot put guys in lolita and slutty poses like you can with the females. (smile)

Is there a word for males equal to lolita?

Would if I could, because I mostly use male materials, but I'm currently too poor. Always happy to see more male products in here, though! 😀

Also the male equivalent to Lolita is Shota, but that delves in a very dangerous and widely frowned upon zone in the art scene...

@Slowga yes I know but I was curious if there was a mainstream name for a guy dressed like a slutty girl would be. I know of what is called "Lolicon/Shotacon" and I do not approve of it when it gets too young. But there is nothing wrong with the portrayal of teenagers who are old enough to know what the want to do. Plus the whole thing about everyone having fear of rendering teen boys or even younger ones in NORMAL renders has created paranoia in creating male products. Which is sad. I have 3 sons, aged 10, 12 and 14, and I like to render some of their antics and present what they do, but there isn't very much to realize that with 3D characters but I am getting better at using Growing Up for Genesis 3 & 8.

Hmmm.... Typically those are usually the Femboys (fembois) as in overall style. They're the ones that usually tend to dress feminine and often "slutty" too. Though Himbos (the coined term for "muscle slut men") can also dress sometimes feminine or "slutty" as well.

I mostly work with average joes and Bara, but since I've been around a lot, I know most of the terms and what they mean or at least used to mean before I moved on. xD

Actually Lolita is fashion style,so Lolita =/= Shota, but Loli in japanese refer to young girl, and shota refer to young boy, hence Lolita =/= Loli, but Loli = Shota.

    >yes I know but I was curious if there was a mainstream name for a guy dressed like a slutty girl would be.

AFAIK There various nomenclature to this depend on whether you are living in east or west country but most of it doesn't related with how they are dressed, e.g Trap,Queer, Drag Queen, and Sissy. Some people think that they are similar term, but IMO, there are some differences on their level of feminization.
The most mainstream nomenclature tho are Queer, and Drag Queen, where Sissy and traps is not widely known to mainstream because they are highly related with fetish

Also Trap is generally regarded as offensive and is even a banned word in some places. Crossdressing is also both a lifestyle and a fetish.
Sissy I don't see used widely anywhere other than fetish zone, true, especially in Humiliation and Degradation fetishes. *shivers away from that*

I didn't know Queer directly related to dressing choices, though, interesting!

EDIT: Oh and yeah, Lolita is specifically the Fashion style, I tend to forget, thanks! Though in a more general and less fetish zone term for what AnjaBear asked, I'm guessing the Femboy fashion style is what he's referring to, the specifically feminine and slutty (and often emo/goth leaning), while Femboy is sometimes also used as a body proportion archetype for more curvaceous males.

I see everyone went to femboi and, though I may be wrong, AnjaBear can correct me if I AM wrong, but I don't think thats what was meant.

I see it to mean a late teen male dressed in male attire that would be , for lack of terminology, a young man slut, not a femboi, not a guy dressed in girl clothes.
The EQUIVELANT of a Lolita, only male.

Lolita is now a subculture fashion of Japan, but the BASE definition comes from the book called Lolita, and the history is as follows:

Lolita: the character Lolita is a child who is sexually victimized by the book’s narrator. The word Lolita has, however, strayed from its original referent, and has settled into the language as a term we define as “a precociously seductive girl.” This definition is based on a considerable body of evidence of the word as it is used in published English prose; it is not intended to be a lexicographic reflection of Nabokov’s creation.

The dictionary now has the meaning as :

    Lolita noun
    Lo·li·ta | \ lō-ˈlē-tə
    \
    Definition of Lolita

    : a precociously seductive girl

    noun
    .
    nymphet(def 2).

    nymphet
    [ nim-fet, nim-fit ]

    noun
    a young nymph.
    a sexually attractive young girl.
a sexually precocious girl or young woman.

While there is no basic equivalent to Lolita, there may be Ganymede..

A Ganymede is a possible answer. Ganymede is a character in Greek mythology. Zeus took the shape of an eagle to abduct this Trojan adolescent, who was described as exceptionally beautiful. He became a cupbearer of the gods on Mount Olympus. From Zeus he received eternal youth.

Also, the word queer doesn't reflect on how someone is dressed. Its used to mean gay. Attracted to ones own sex.
Not all cross dressers are gay and not all gay cross dress.

I like the thought that went into answering my questions.

So what kind of males would you like to see rendered in 3D, what is missing to make meaningful and interesting male work?

My personal likes are more swimmer bodies, gymnasts, ballet dancers, runners, but not bodybuilders or steroid monsters. I personally find gym-bunnies (guys who spend most of their lives in a gym) end up becoming the overdeveloped or steroid monsters after time. I find a hard sixpack on a guy uncomfortable to lay your head on. 😉

What kind of characters, body types etc do you all like?

The recent Z Husky guy bodyshape is interesting to render, but finding and morphing the right head to go with it is the hard one for me.

Ok I saw this thread and could not stay away! Personally, Anja, I like guys of all types. From fem/twinks to muscle bears to suit and tie daddies to jock bunnies. One of my favourite artists over on Renderosity was Nfredman, her boys/men ran the whole spectrum. Same with Mavrosh. I admit I mostly lurk on here for blogs as Rosity tends to be too happy with the ban hammer over delicate topics like one the ones above, and in Daz3d you're brave just to whisper LGBT in the forums, even though the gallery moderators are far more liberal than the forum ones.

@Jeremy @mokswagger I have a 14-year-old son who came out to me last year and he is doing Daz Studio stuff, and he has a unique perspective on the men he renders, and I give him the freedom to do as he likes, within limits of course. I don't want this theme to get too LGBT as our hosts are Russian and I think its not always a good topic, so we should keep it on track with males, products, morphs, shapes and what we like and want to see, but I have many gay male friends who give me feedback on my guys. I know Mavrosh's work and Nan Fredman, she used to make nice freebies for the males too.

Daz forums I would never post in as they are homophobic over there. And Rendo is just paranoid someone will get them slapped for mentioning LGBT anything - I think they sit in someplace like Tennessee or Kentucky.

If you want to talk about that sort of stuff though we can always talk on Discord.
You sound like a fun guy to talk to!

While I do appreciate the "Wear Them All" utility, its not really. Again, especially shoes. Which of course kinda of blows an outfit off the table if you don't have shoes for the outfit.
I wish there were more male clothing items, but , as in real life, women have more options than men.

I prefer doing renders with fit bodies, not muscle bound. There's a place for those such as in fantasy pieces, (LOVE the orcs. ) I don't do pin-up of men. Not my thing.

    @mokswagger
I find that very disturbing about topic bans. Freedom of speech. Freedom of reality. Freedom of NOT being offended by every little thing. Freedom to scroll and not read something one chooses not to read if one has a thin skin and chooses to be offended .

@drgnmztr I fully agree, here in Germany such ridiculous banning and attitude would be laughed at. Nudity for us is commonplace, and we have nude beaches, nude saunas, both unisex and separated. People here don't stare at naked women and drool as if it was something crazy exotic... But Daz, for example, is run by Mormons in Mormon country, what else do you expect - dark ages mentality. Yet they produce the figures that make the most internet 3D porn of all. Sometimes the hypocrisy in this industry is bizarre.
