Hello everyone
I'm new here and I'm new to daz3d.
I found a couple of packs I would like to pose, horses in my case, and doownloaded them. I also downloaded daz3d.
Is there a guide around to teach complete noobs on how to get the resources working? I thought it would be just one file, open/import into daz3d and done. But not really, it feels overwhelming.
Sorry in advance if this isnt the right place and if so, please kindly direct me to the right section.
Cheers!

My problem is not really on how to work with DAZ once things are already setup, but rather how to get there when NOT starting from the official DAZ resource downloader.
The whole software seems intuitive if you go at it the conventional way (with the smart content for instance) but in our case which is downloading content and then having to figure out where to place it, that's where Im stuck: the folder structure.Im getting errors of missing files, errors telling me to look at logs, or simply no errors but textures are not showing up, the list goes on. And that only gets worse with extra content for the same base model. I have no idea how to organize those folders.
Any pointers for that?

If it cant find a file, do a windows search to locate it then either move it where it belongs, where you want it or tell daz where it is. If you cant find it on your HD reinstall it.
IMHO its better to set up your own system rather than letting daz do it. If you open up a zip/rar and browse the files you will pretty much see how its suppose to go. I wouldn't change much in data or runtime. IF you are using poser content like V4 then good luck. Its the worst file system ive ever seen. Character files can be under pose and poses can be under props.
